Post Graduate Government College, Sector-11
organized a Lecture-cum-workshop for science students on the topic “Science and
Magic” by Prof. Anil Kumar from IIT, Bombay. Professor Kumar had a close interaction with
students and made them realise that a keen observation and logical
thinking/reasoning is the real meaning of a scientific temperament. He
performed several interesting activities and used visual aids which kept the
students involved throughout the workshop. He also encouraged them to revisit
the curricula of their foundation classes and clear fundamentals. About 300
postgraduate and undergraduate students attended the workshop.

Chandigarh backside wine shop, Sector-27, Chandigarh and recovered 12
gram Heroin from his possession on 24.02.2019. A case FIR No. 40, U/S 21 NDPS
Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in
progress.Dowry A lady resident of
Sector-14, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of New
Delhi harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 39, U/S 406,
498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation
of case is in progress. A lady resident of Sector-22/D, Chandigarh alleged that
her husband & others resident of Sector-5, Distt.-Panchkula, Haryana
harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 40, U/S 406, 498-A
IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of
case is in progress. A lady resident of Phase-1, Industrial Area, Chandigarh
alleged that her husband
& others resident of Sector-38/A, Chandigarh harassed complainant to bring
more dowry. A case FIR No. 41, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered
in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress. Robbery Kuldeep Mishra R/o # 752,
Phase-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh reported that 5 unknown persons robbed away
complainant’s mobile phone and cash Rs.10/- near # 2332, Phase-2, Ramdarbar,
Chandigarh on knife point on 24.02.2019. A case FIR No. 71, U/S 395 IPC
has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in
progress. Burglary Vivek Kumar R/o # 85,
Sector-28/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away
complainant’s cash Rs. 10,000 to 12,000/- & metal items from his
shop Himalaya Coal depot, Sector-28/D, Chandigarh after breaking locks on night
intervening 23/24.02.2019. A case FIR No. 39, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been
registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Pawan Kumar R/o # 1680, Phase-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh reported that
unknown person stolen away complainant’s 01 mobile phone, 02 gold tikka, 01
gold chain, 02 gold rings, 01 pair gold earrings, 02 silver bangles, 01 pair
pendant, cash Rs. 2,000/- from complainant’s residence after
breaking locks on night intervening 23/24.02.2019. A case FIR No. 72, U/S 457,
380 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of
the case is in progress. Missing/Kidnapped A case FIR No. 53, U/S
363 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of a person
resident of Village-Burail, Chandigarh who reported that his daughter age about
13 years has been missing near her residence since 23.02.2019. Investigation of
the case is in progress. Accident A case FIR No. 448,
U/S 279, 337, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the
complaint of Tejinder Singh R/o # 2432/A, Sector-39/C,
Chandigarh against driver of activa scooter No.
CH-01BF-1627 namely Sahil R/o # 1447, Sector-39/B,
Chandigarh who hit to complainant’s father scooter No.
PB-65-0539 near Sector-39/40 light point,
Chandigarh on 04.02.2019. Complainant’s father namely Nirmal Singh
R/o # 2432/A, Sector-39/C, Chandigarh got injured and admitted in
GH-16, Chandigarh. Later refer to PGI, Chandigarh where he expired during
treatment. Investigation of the case is in progress.

गया। मंदिर कमेटी ने इस मौके पर शहीदों के परिवारों की सहायतार्थ प्रधानमंत्री राहत
कोष के लिए 2 लाख रुपए भी भेजे ।

का 146 वां जन्मदिवस आज श्री चैतन्य गौड़ीय मठ, सेक्टर-20 चंडीगढ़ में बड़ी धूमधाम
से मनाया गया। मठ के प्रवक्ता जयप्रकाश गुप्ता ने उक्त जानकारी देते हुए कहा कि आज
प्रात:काल मंगला आरती के पश्चात कथा प्रवचन का आयोजन किया गया। चंडीगढ़ मठ के अध्यक्ष
बामन जी महाराज ने भक्तों को अपने संबोधन में कहा कि विश्व को एक छत के नीचे किसी धर्म
जाति के भेद के बिना एक सूत्र में बांध कर हरे कृष्णा हरे राम का महामंत्र विश्व के
प्रत्येक स्थान पर गुंजा दिया। आज पूरे वैष्णव जगत के भक्त लोग अपने इस महान वैश्णव
संत को याद कर उनकी कृपा प्रार्थना कर रहे हैं एवं हम सभी उनके हृदय से ऋण युक्त है
इस अवसर पर मायापुर बंगाल से आए पदम नाथ महाराज

महासभा, चण्डीगढ़ का वार्षिक समारोह आगामी 3 मार्च को पीजीआई, सेक्टर 12, स्थित भार्गव
ऑडिटोरियम में आयोजित किया जाएगा जिसमें हिमाचल प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री जयराम ठाकुर
मुख्य अतिथि के तौर पर पधारेंगे। इनके अलावा हमीरपुर के सांसद व लोकसभा में भाजपा के
मुख्य सचेतक अनुराग ठाकुर एवं हिमाचल के ग्रामीण विकास एवं पंचायत मंत्री वीरेंद्र

Chandigarh Housing Board conducted a
computerized numbering draw of Small Flats Scheme, 2006 for the eligible
beneficiaries. The list of eligible beneficiaries was forwarded by the
Estate Officer, UT, Chandigarh and thereafter the beneficiaries were asked to
submit requisite documents and applicable fees/charges to the CHB. Total
2390 beneficiaries completed this process despite repeated opportunities. The
draw was held in fair and transparent manner under the supervision of senior
officers deputed from the different departments of the Chandigarh
Administration. For this purpose software was prepared by the NIC, UT,
Chandigarh. The whole process was witnessed by the huge number of beneficiaries
who reach the draw venue at Kissan Bhawan, Sector-35, Chandigarh. 79
beneficiaries having physically handicapped persons in their families were allotted
Ground Floor Flats and the remaining 2311 allottees were allotted flats at
difference floors including Ground Floor Flats. The process of the draw
was displayed live on the five big screens provided at the venue. Four
counters were provided so that beneficiaries can inquire about specific flat
number allotted to them. Further the result of the draw was circulated on
the WhatsApp Group for better and immediate outreach to the public. The result
of the draw has been uploaded on the website of CHB i.e. www.chbonline.in. The allotment letters to 2390 allottees mentioning the specific flat
number allotted to them will be issued in next few days. The process of
handing over the possession is also being undertaken and specific dates will be
announced shortly. To ensure that there is no inconvenience to the
allottees the possession of flats will be handed over in the batches to
minimize the rush at the site. The beneficiaries whose name were recommended by
the Estate Officer, UT but could not be included in the draw because of
non-submission of required documents or non-deposit of fees/charges to CHB will
be given one more opportunity by organizing special camps.

अब तक पंजाब व् चंडीगढ़ के 42 स्कूलों में करीब 10,000 बच्चों को साइबर क्राइम से
बचने के और सावधान रहने के तरीकों से अवगत करवा चूका है l
