Chandigarh Police Registered Many Cases

Action against illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Rakesh R/o # 322-C, Part 2, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, Age 23 Years and Khushi Ram R/o # 127, Milk Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh, Age 37 Years and recovered 96 quarters of whisky and 48 halves of whisky from their possession near Market, Sector-18C, Chandigarh on 08.04.2024. A case FIR No. 23, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Later, they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two persons arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Chandigarh Police arrested Anil Kumar R/o BDC, Sector 26, Chandigarh Age-46 years, while consuming liquor and creating nuisance at public place near Wine Shop, Grain Market, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 08-04-2024. A case FIR No. 32, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

 

Chandigarh Police arrested Vijay Kumar R/o BDC, Sector 26, Chandigarh Age-43 years, while consuming liquor and creating nuisance at public place near Plot No. 29, TPT Area, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 08-04-2024. A case FIR No. 33, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 29, U/S 419, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Cyber Crime, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Sector-44, Chandigarh who reported that unknown person sent a link through message on her mobile phone on 05.04.2024, regarding redeem of reward points expiring soon on her SBI account. After clicking on link total Rs. 49,500/- debited from her account in two transactions. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault/Attempt to Murder

A case FIR No. 51, U/S 323, 307, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Khudda-Ali-Sher, Chandigarh who alleged that persons namely Kalyan Singh, Nirmal Singh and Balkar Singh all R/o # 540, Village Khudda-Ali-Sher, Chandigarh attacked upon complainant and her family members with sticks/axe near # 540, Village Khudda-Ali-Sher, Chandigarh on 06.04.2024. Complainant sustained injuries and was admitted to GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Alleged persons have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

 

A case FIR No. 52, U/S 323, 325, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Kalyan Singh R/o # 540, Khudda-Ali-Sher, Chandigarh who alleged that persons namely Onkar Singh, Parminder Singh, Paramjit Singh and others all R/o Village Khudda-Ali-Sher, Chandigarh attacked upon complainant and his family members with sticks near his residence on 06.04.2024. Complainant sustained injuries and was admitted to GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

 

A case FIR No. 29, U/S 307, 341, 506, 147, 148, 149, 323, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Parvez R/o # 1854, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh who alleged that persons Anil, Rakesh, Aryan, Dalip and others attacked upon complainant and his friends near # 1729, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh on 07.04.2024. Vicitim Salman R/o # 1281, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh sustained injuries and admitted to GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Alleged persons namely Anil R/o # 1734-C, EWS Colony, Dhanas Chandigarh, Age 32 Years, Rakesh R/o # 1789, EWS Colony, Dhanas Chandigarh, Age 20 Years, Dalip R/o # 1854, EWS Colony, Dhanas Chandigarh, Age 19 years have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

 

A case FIR No. 30, U/S 323, 341, 506, 147, 148, 149, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Anil R/o # 1734-C, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh who alleged that persons namely Parvez, Sonu and Dheeraj and others attacked upon complainant and his family members near # 1729, EWS Colony, Dhanas on 07.04.2024. Alleged persons namely Parvez R/o # 1854, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh, Age 27 Years, Sonu R/o # 375, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh, Dheeraj R/o # 1264-A, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh, Age 19 Years have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
