एमसीएम डीएवी कॉलेज फॉर वीमेन, चंडीगढ़ के इंटरनल क्वालिटी अश्योरेंस सेल (आईक्यूएसी) ने कॉलेज के स्टाफ मेम्बर्स के लिए भावनात्मक स्वतंत्रता तकनीक (इमोशनल फ्रीडम टेक्निक ) पर एक प्रशिक्षण कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया। जीएमएसएच -16, चंडीगढ़ के मनोचिकित्सा विभाग के प्रमुख डॉ.विजय गिरधर ने 30 फैकल्टी सदस्यों की उत्साहपूर्ण भागीदारी के साथ इस ज्ञानवर्धक एवं लाभकारी कार्यशाला का संचालन किया। दो गहन सत्रों में विभाजित इस कार्यशाला का उद्देश्य प्रतिभागियों को इस कौशल प्रक्रिया से अवगत कराना था जो नकारात्मक भावनाओं को दूर करने में सहायता करती है । पहले सत्र में डॉ गिरधर ने ईएफटी या टैपिंग थेरेपी जो कि एक यूनिवर्सल हीलिंग टूल है इसका शारीरिक कष्ट के साथ साथ भावनात्मक चुनौतियों के समाधान में इसकी भूमिका पर प्रकाश डाला एवं एक्यूपंक्चर जैसी पारंपरिक चिकित्सा से भी भावनात्मक चुनौतियों को दूर करने की तकनीकों के बारे में बताया । ईएफटी के मूल नुस्खे के पांच चरणों की व्याख्या करते हुए डॉ.गिरधर ने पर्याप्त प्रासंगिक उदाहरणों के साथ सत्र को पूरक बनाया। दूसरे सत्र के दौरान विशेषज्ञ ने भाषा के महत्व पर जोर दिया और फिर एक अभ्यास प्रक्रिया के माध्यम से ईएफटी का प्रदर्शन किया इसके बाद प्रतिभागियों ने स्वयं पर ईएफटी के माध्यम से अपने जीवन के मुख्य पहलुओं पर इस अभ्यास किया। प्रिंसिपल डॉ निशा भार्गव ने आईक्यूएसी की इस पहल की सराहना की और कहा कि वर्तमान समय में तनाव और अन्य मुद्दों को देखते हुए यह जरूरी है कि व्यक्ति खुद को ऐसी तकनीकों सीखे जिसके द्वारा उनका जीवन सरल एवं खुशहाल रहे । उन्होंने कहा कि एमसीएम इस तरह के प्रयासों के माध्यम से अपने विभिन्न हितधारकों का समग्र विकास सुनिश्चित करना चाहता है ।

‘Business Club’ of Dev Samaj College for Women, Sector-45/B, Chandigarh held a declamation contest and the Chief Guest on the occasion were Prof. S.K Chadha Ji, Former Chairman, UBS, Panjab University. The club also held an investiture ceremony wherein the office-bearers of the club were honored with the badges. Later, a declamation contest on the current raging topics was held. The topics were ‘Crypto currency’ ‘Free Trade-A Myth’, ‘Women are better leader than men’ and ‘Artificial Intelligence’. Shubhi of B.Com - IInd year was adjudged as the winner who spoke on the topic ‘Crypto currency’. Prof. S.K Chadha conducted an interactive session with the students and taught them the ‘Mantras of Success’. He advocated that ‘SMART’ goals should be set which ultimately would pave the way for success in the future. Faith in oneself, positive outlook towards life, gratitude towards the institution and the service towards the society were a few traits that he delved on, in his inspirational speech. He also motivated the faculty members to impart practical training to the students as it is the need of the hour. Principal Madam, Dr. Jaspal Kaur, thanked the Chief Guest and applauded the efforts of the participants, congratulated the office-bearers and the incharj of the club.

MV Theft Suresh R/o # 1643, Sector-60, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Bajaj CT-100 Motor Cycle No. HR-03F-3611 while parked near # 2652, Sector-56, Chandigarh between 31.01.2019 to 06.02.2019. A case FIR No. 39, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. Rioting A case FIR No. 21, U/S 147, 148, 149, 323, 452, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Deepak R/o # 3604, Sector-25, Chandigarh who alleged that Rohin, Ankit, Deep, Gaurav beaten complainant at his residence on 06.02.2019. Complainant and his friend Rohit got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Rohin R/o # 2842, DBC, Sector-25, Chandigarh (age-21 yrs) and Ankit R/o Jhuggi No. 372, DBC, Sector-25, Chandigarh (age-19 yrs) have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
