Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place
Chandigarh Police arrested Deepak
Kanda R/o, Sector-21D (Age-48 years) while consuming liquor at
public place and creating nuisance near Govt. School, Sector-20,
Chandigarh on 06.01.2024. A case FIR No. 05, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007
& 510 IPC registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail.
Investigation of the case is in progress.
*Chandigarh Police
arrested Kuldeep Singh R/o Village Daria (Age-30 years) while consuming
liquor at public place and creating nuisance near Gali No. 2,
Village Daria, Chandigarh on 06.01.2024. A case FIR No. 03, U/S
68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-Ind. Area,
Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in
progress.
One arrested for committing theft
A lady resident of Uppal Marble, Sector-13,
Manimajra, Chandigarh alleged that a person namely Deepak who was working as
care taker of her father has stolen gold chain with locket and some cash from
complainant’s house on night intervening 01.01.2024. Later, alleged
person Deepak R/o #
43, Village Abheypur, Distt. Panchkula,
HR, Age 30 Years was arrested in this case. A case FIR No.
06, U/S 381 added 411 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh.
Investigation of the case is in progress.
Cheating
A case FIR No. 01, U/S 419, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B
IPC has been registered in PS-Cyber Crime, Chandigarh on the complaint of a
lady R/o Aakash Institute, Sector-34-A, Chandigarh who reported that unknown
person sent a link from telegram and ask to give rating and offered work from
home to earn money. They cheated a total Rs 2,93,000/- from the complainant by
offering different tasks on 3.12.2023. The investigation of the case is in
progress.
*A case FIR No. 02,
U/S 419, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Cyber
Crime, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ram Chander Singh R/o # 5658, Sector-56,
Chandigarh who reported that unknown caller from Bajaj Finance offered loan of
Rs. 5 lakh and cheated total Rs 27,400/- on 29.11.2023. The investigation of
the case is in progress.
Snatching
Manish Kumar R/o # 25, EWS Colony, Dhanas,
Chandigarh reported that three unknown persons on motor cycle sped away
after snatching complainant’s mobile phone near Shri Ram Marble, Marble Market,
Dhanas, Chandigarh on 05.01.2024. A case FIR No. 03, U/S 379A, 34
IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case
is in progress.
Theft
Dalip Kumar R/o # 397/2, Village Daria,
Chandigarh alleged that unknown person stole away two mobile phone from
complainant’s room on the night intervening 03/04-10-2023. A case FIR
No. 02, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh.
Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 05, U/S 279, 304A IPC has been
registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh on the complaint of Raj Kumar R/o # 456/1,
Rajiv Colony, Sector-17, Panchkula, HR who alleged that unknown driver
of car No. CH-02AA-6827 sped away after hitting
complainant's brother Ramesh Kumar (Cyclist) at Mansa Devi Road, Motor
Market, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 05.01.2024. Victim sustained injuries and was
admitted to GMCH-32, Chandigarh, where he was declared dead. Investigation
of the case is in progress.
