state-of-the art Co-Working space called ECoS(Entrepreneur Development Centre
Co-working Space) created by SPIC under
the aegis of Department of Information
Technology, Chandigarh Administration is fully operational now in SPIC
Incubation Centre , Chandigarh Technology Park .Young
entrepreneurs & startupneurs can
take state of the art office space & book seat(s) in co-working area located in the heart of IT hub
through startup portal www.chdstartup.in
which is live now and can access to the workplace of
international standards equipped with plush hot seats, breakout area, Ideation
rooms, Video Conferencing room brain
storming room and in-house pantry facility. Society
for Promotion of IT in Chandigarh (SPIC) has been spearheading the startup
movement in Chandigarh since its inception(2001) and has lot of experience in incubating & nurturing startups and helping them in scaling up their
business with expert Mentoring and
Advisory, HR support, Technical and Managerial Support and providing platform
for networking and marketing their
products.Co-working
called ECoS is now up and running on 3rd Floor of EDC Building, Plot No 20,
Chandigarh Technology Park, Kishangarh which has 68 hot seats out of
which 20
hot seats have already been booked& taken.
Categories
of Seats available in co-working area:
Hot
seat:This is a shared space where individuals or teams share their space with
other individuals or teams
Multiple
seats: In a case of team
of young entrepreneurs there is an option of booking multiple seats but not more than 8 seats can
be booked.
Pay
as you go: There is no fixed subscription in this model. Individuals can book
space or seat for short duration from 15
days to one month and use it by paying
the charges daily. Pods
corners: co-working is also equipped
with super comfortable plush pods
with chargeable points for single person. Young
entrepreneur can easily book their seats by

to create their account on portal thereafter can login and enter their
personal details, picture along with brief information about their venture
and then submit the booking form.
Once the request is approved they can pay the hot seat(s) charges online
through debit/credit card or internet banking. The
idea of co-working space was conceived
to create platform for technology
based startups to identify &
provide value added services required to support startup and strengthen startup
culture in city and also to encourage
and inspire youth to actively consider entrepreneurship as their career choice.
Co-working space will cater to students
and young entrepreneurs who have a workable idea which needs hatching and also
for startups who doesn’t have much capital to invest in private office. Co-working space in EDC building is much
more than standard office with no
cubicles rather convenient hot desks sitting
where one can work with ease. It will be a conducive place for heads-
down productivity with bookable meeting rooms and discussion
rooms. This space have glass-walled
sleek discussion rooms, conference room, separate video conference room
and innovative lounge corners which
offer plenty of space for collaboration when teams get together and. Some of
