Humanism above should be the spirit, for greater
goodwill and brotherhood among people, so as a socially responsible company
they at HPCL joined hands with Gandhian NGO like Yuvsatta (youth for peace), to
promote the ‘Wall of Kindness’ concept which Yuvsatta is
already successfully doing at many places in the tricity’,
shared Gagandeep Singh Sodhi, DGM (Retail) of Hindustan Petroleum
Company Limited, who inaugurated the ‘Wall of Kindness’, created by HPCL today
first at CL DAV Agarwal DAV School, Sector 7B and later at HPCL Petrol Pump at
Sector 15B, Chandigarh. Thanking HPCL for their support Mrs. Sunita Ranyal, Principal of CL Agarwal DAV
School, Sector 7B, said that
Peace Club of their School divided the task of bringing donations of cloths,
utensils, shoes, bags etc. section wise in Schools. And they have over 40
different class sections, so supplies of extra cloths and utensils for ‘School
Wall of Kindness’ will be there throughout the year. Pramod Sharma, coordinator of Yuvsatta added that promoting the spirit of giving, boosting youth
volunteerism and strengthening social harmony are the keys to any
notion of living in peaceful & caring world. And such initiatives like
‘Wall of Kindness’, are an effective medium to do it. An official of HPCL
added that from today onwards they have placed drop boxes to leave extra
cloths, woolens and utensils for the needy people at all of their HPCL Petrol
Pumps in the tricity of Chandigarh, Panchkula and SAS Nagar. And all donations
collected there will be distributed through Yuvsatta among the less privileged
in slum areas of the city.
