In continuation
of a special drive against
consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was
carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 04 different cases U/S
68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police
stations of Chandigarh in which total 04 persons were
arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The
detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got
registered:- PS-17= 1 case, PS-MJ= 2 cases, PS-IT Park= 1 case. This drive will be continuing in
future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law. Three arrested
for possessing illegal liquor Chandigarh Police arrested Sant Parkash R/o # 1275, Deep Complex, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh
from near Kacha Rasta, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh while illegally possessing 30
quarters of country liquor on 04.02.2019. A case FIR No. 46, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in
PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. Chandigarh Police arrested
Pankaj Kumar R/o # 1094, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh from near Kabari Market Village-Hallo Majra,
Chandigarh while illegally possessing 17 quarters of country liquor on
04.02.2019. A case FIR No. 47, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been
registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. Chandigarh
Police arrested Parshant Lodhi R/o # 32, Chander Lok, Sabun Godam, Bagpat Road,
Merrut (UP) near Gurudwara Chowk (Sec-20/30/32/33 Chowk), Chandigarh while
illegally possessing 36 bottles of country liquor on 03.02.2019. A case FIR No. 35,
U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation
of the case is in progress. Acciden A case FIR No. 35, U/S 279, 427 IPC has been registered in PS-17,
Chandigarh on the complaint of Vijay Kumar R/o # 259,
Ph-3B1, Mohali, (PB) against driver of Honda City car No. CH-01BF-3078 namely
Surinder Kumar R/o # 3751, Sec-22/D, Chandigarh who hit to complainant’s Swift car No. CH-04B-0680 at
backside Jeweler Market, Sector-22, Chandigarh on 04.02.2019. Investigation of
the case is in progress.A case FIR No.
27 U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint
of Mohan Lal R/o # 1385, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh against driver of car No.
CH-01AU-0960 namely Arjan Singh R/o # 3249, Sector-22, Chandigarh who hit to
complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-01-BD-1733 at TPT Light Point,
Chandigarh on 02.02.2019. Complainant’s got injured and admitted in GMCH-32,
Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. A case FIR No. 24, U/s 279, 337 IPC has been
registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of Harwinder Singh R/o
village-Barwa, Distt.-Ropar, Punjab against driver of school van No.
PB-11BR-7671 namely Suraj R/o Village-Bijwar, Distt.-Chattarpur, Madhya Pradesh
who hit to complainant’s taxi No. PB-01A-6013 and also hit to Activa Scooter
and Rehri at Railway Light Point on 03.02.2019. 02 persons got serious
injuries and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Accused person arrested and bailed
out. nvestigation of the case is in progress. MV Theft Noshad R/o # 1310, Sector-45, Chandigarh reported that
unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa
Scooter No. CH01BE2852 parked at backside Shop No. 199, Motor Market,
Sector-48, Chandigarh on 02.02.2019. A case FIR No. 12, U/S 379
IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in
progress. A lady resident of Sector-68, Mohali (PB) reported
that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa
Scooter No. PB-65W-9918 parked near Library Sector-34, Chandigarh.
A case FIR No. 36, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of
the case is in progress. Arshdeep Singh R/o # 171, near
Gurudwara Sahib, VPO-Kulrial, Distt.-Mansa, Punjab reported that unknown person
stolen away complainant’s Motor Cycle No. PB-13AQ-2479 from parking near Gurudwara Sahib. Sector-34,
Chandigarh on 06.01.2019. A case
FIR No. 37, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation
of the case is in rogress. Quarrel/Assault Gurbaj Singh R/o # 3159, Sector-23/D, Chandigarh alleged that
5-6 unknown persons beaten complainant in front of Social Bar, Sector-7,
Chandigarh on 01.02.2019. A case FIR No. 26, U/S 323, 325, 34 IPC has been
registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. Sushant Kumar R/o # 3122, Mauli
Complex, Chandigarh alleged that 2 unknown persons broken the glass of
complainant’s Mahindra pick up No. CH-03Y-4117 while parked near his Residence
and also beaten and threatened his father on 03.02.2019. Complainant’s father
got injured and was admitted to GMCH-32, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 25, U/S
341, 323, 427, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh.
One person namely Pardeep R/o # 91, Phase-II, Ravindra Enclave, Baltana,
Distt.-Mohali, Punjab (age-22 yrs) has been arrested in this case.
Investigation of the case is in progress. Rajesh Rana R/o #312, Village-Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh alleged that Trilok Singh, Keshav
Chand R/o # 312, Village-Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh attacked complainant at his
residence on 04.02.2019. Complainant’s got injured and was admitted to GMCH-32,
Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 26, U/S 323, 441, 34 IPC has been registered in
PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Accused persons arrested and bailed out.
Investigation of the case is in progress.
