against Gambling
Chandigarh Police arrested Ramandeep @ Soma R/o # 2850, DMC, Chandigarh, Age 40 Years and Manoj R/o #606, Sector-38/A, Chandigarh Age 33 Years while they were gambling near Karan Taxi Stand, Sector-38/West, Chandigarh on 10-01-2024. Total cash Rs. 8600/- was recovered from them. A case FIR No. 04, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested for committing Burglary
Lakhvir Singh R/o
# 174, Type-1, PGI, Sector-12, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole
away gold & silver ornaments and cash Rs 8000/- from his house on
09-01-2024. Later, a person Tushar @ Kaka R/o # 1319, Ph-1, Ram Darbar,
Chandigarh, Age 20 Years was arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 02,
U/S 380, 454 added 411 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh.
Investigation of the case is in progress.
Trespassing
Aasha Ram R/o # 36/1, Block-G, DDA Market,
Sec-15, Rohini, Delhi reported that Gursewak Singh R/o Village Khudda-Ali-Sher,
Chandigarh and others person illegally trespassed in complainant’s house at
Village Khudda-Ali-Sher, Chandigarh and sold out his furniture items. A case
FIR No. 03, U/S 453, 380 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh.
Investigation of the case is in progress.
Cheating
A case FIR No. 03, U/S 419, 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Cyber Crime, Chandigarh on the complaint of Bhupesh R/o Security Lines, Sec-29, Chandigarh who reported that unknown person cheated Rs 45,000/- from the complainant regarding sending rent to complainant on 07.01.2024. The investigation of the case is in progress.
