संजय टंडन ने सरकारी अनुदान प्राप्त कॉलेजों के नॉन टीचिंग स्टाफ की रिवाइज्ड पे-स्केल मांग का किया समर्थन, केंद्रीय गृहमंत्री अमित शाह को लिखा पत्र

शहर के सरकारी अनुदान प्राप्त कॉलेजों के नॉन टीचिंग स्टाफ की रिवाइज्ड पे-स्केल और सेंट्रल सर्विस रूल्स की मांग को अब चंडीगढ़ प्रदेश भाजपा के पूर्व अध्यक्ष एवं हिमाचल प्रदेश भाजपा के सह प्रभारी संजय टंडन का समर्थन भी मिल गया है। सरकारी अनुदान प्राप्त कॉलेजों की नॉन टीचिंग स्टाफ यूनियन को भाजपा नेता संजय टंडन ने भरोसा दिलाया है कि वह उनकी इस मांग को केंद्र के समक्ष जोरदार तरीके से रखेंगे। इसके साथ ही संजय टंडन ने इस संबंध में केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह को पत्र भी लिखा है। उन्होंने गृह मंत्री अमित शाह से इन दोनों मांगों पर विचार कर जल्द ही आवश्यक कार्रवाई की अपील की है। दरअसल, भाजपा नेता संजय टंडन ने गृह मंत्री अमित शाह से सरकारी अनुदान प्राप्त कॉलेजों के नॉन टीचिंग स्टाफ संबंधी रिवाइज्ड पे स्केल की मांग को 1 जनवरी 2016 से लागू किए जाने की अपील की है। इसके अलावा सेंट्रल सर्विस रूल्स को 1 अप्रैल 2022 से लागू किए जाने की अपील भी की है। गौरतलब है कि सरकारी अनुदान प्राप्त कॉलेजों की नॉन टीचिंग स्टाफ यूनियन द्वारा 21 अक्टूबर 2011 को भी केंद्र सरकार के उच्च शिक्षा विभाग का ध्यान इन मांगों की ओर आकृष्ट कराया गया था। विभाग को लिखे पत्र में स्पष्ट तौर पर मांग की गई थी कि सरकारी अनुदान प्राप्त नॉन टीचिंग स्टाफ का वेतनमान भी चंडीगढ़ के सरकारी कॉलेजों के कर्मचारियों के समान किया जाए। इसके आधार पर यूनियन को अंतिम वेतन आयोग प्रदान किया गया था। दरअसल, चंडीगढ़ प्रशासन द्वारा केंद्र शासित प्रदेश, चंडीगढ़ के कर्मचारियों के वेतनमान को पहले ही संशोधित किया जा चुका है।

आज़ाद ड्रामेटिक क्लब ,रामलीला व दशहरा कमेटी सेक्टर 20 द्वारा नववर्ष 2024 के प्रारम्भ पर यहां गुरूद्वारे के पास चाय-पकोड़े का लंगर लगाया व भगवान से प्रार्थना की कि यह वर्ष सभी के जीवन में सुख, समृद्धि व शांति लाए। बलविंदर सिंह , राजा , कुलदीप कुमार राजा विर्क , रमेश बतरा , अशोक चौधरी , ओ पी दाबला इस लंगर में सक्रिय भूमिका निभा रहे हैं। ग़ौरतलब है कि  कमेटी द्वारा 21 दिसम्बर से लगातार चाय, मठी ,बिस्किट का लंगर जारी है।

Chandigarh Police apprehended Angrej Singh R/o Village-Jlalana, Distt- Sirsa (HR) Age 40 Years, while he was consuming liquor & creating nuisance at public place at Kachi Parking near Wine Shop, Motor Market, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 01.01.2024. A case FIR No. 02, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

*Chandigarh Police apprehended Rahul R/o # 242, Ward No. 3/A, Adarsh Nagar, Belongi, Mohali (PB), Age 36 Years, while he was consuming liquor & creating nuisance at public place at Dusshera Ground, Sector-38/West, Chandigarh on 01.01.2024. A case FIR No. 01, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling

Chandigarh Police arrested Govind R/o # 531, NIC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, Age 22 years, Narinder Kumar R/o # 672 Sec-16 Panchkula (HR) Age 42 Years, Jai Singh R/o in front Shop No. 659, Motor Market, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, Age 22 Years and Sandeep Kumar R/o # 329/5, Smadhi Gate, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, Age 26 Years, while they were gambling near Shani Mandir, Motor Market. Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 01.01.2024. Total cash Rs. 1560/- was recovered from them. A case FIR No. 01, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Suraj Kumar @ Gindal R/o # 919, Ph-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh, Age 28 Years and recovered 11 bottles of whiskey from his possession near Plot No. 102, Ph-2, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 01.01.2024. A case FIR No. 01, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

*Chandigarh Police arrested Samim @ Saleem R/o # 6252/C, Sector-56, Chandigarh, Age 58 Years and Fariyad Ahmed R/o # 327, Sector-56, Chandigarh, Age 38 Years and recovered 6 bottles, 28 nips of country made liquor and 32 halves, 64 nips, 17 bottles of English liquor from his possession near Plot No. 102, Ph-2, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 01.01.2024. A case FIR No. 01, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against obstruction in public way

A case FIR No. 02, U/S 283 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh against Surender Shah R/o # 665, Village-Burail, Chandigarh, Age 35 Years, who was obstructing public way by installing rehri/fari at Sadar Market, Sector-19, Chandigarh on 01.01.2024. He was arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

* A case FIR No. 03, U/S 283 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh against Avdesh R/o # 561, top floor, Sector-20, Chandigarh, who was obstructing public way by installing rehri/fari near Community Center, Sector-20, Chandigarh on 01.01.2024. He was arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Sahnawaz @ Sonu R/o # 422, Kumau Colony, Naya Gaon (PB) Age 32 Years and recovered 10.24 gram heroin from his possession at slip road, near Ziri Mandi Chowk, Sector 39D, Chandigarh on 01.01.2024. A case FIR No 03, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39. The investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for theft

Vivek Kumar R/o # 822/1, Sector-38/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person had stolen cycle from Parking near SCO No. 223, Sector-37/C, Chandigarh on 29.12.2023. Later a person namely Shri Ram R/o # 64 C/o Lakha Village-Daddu Majra, Chandigarh, Age 19 Years was arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 02, U/S 379 IPC & added 411 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 01, U/S 420, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Mahender Kumar and others R/o Village Knauja Khurd, Distt-Pryagraj (UP) who alleged that Gurwinder Singh Walia, Manager, Grow World Service, SCO No. 73-74, 3rd floor, Sector-17, Chandigarh and others cheated complainant and other 14 persons of Rs. 16,00,000/- for providing work visa to Singapore in 2021. The investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 01, U/S 279, 427 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh on the complaint of Dev Parkash, Lineman, Electricity Department, Complaint Centre, Sector-19, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of Fortuner car No. CH-01CS-3341 namely Gaurav Trihan R/o # 1055, Sector-18, Chandigarh, Age 54 years, hit an electric pole near Booth No. 4-5, Electronic Market, Sector 18, Chandigarh on 31.12.2023. Alleged person was arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

 Snatching

A lady resident of Ramdarbar, Chandigarh reported that two unknown persons (motorcyclist) sped away after snatching mobile phone from complainant near Bus Stand, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh on 01.01.2024. A case FIR No. 02, U/S 379A, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault/Quarrel

A case FIR No. 01, U/S 323, 341, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-34 on the complaint of Vansh Maheshwari R/o # 65, Sector-7, Panchkula, (HR) who alleged that persons namely Akshay Sawal, Shaurya Bhardwaj and Pavtesh forcefully stopped complainant’s car near # 450, Sector 46, Chandigarh and assaulted/threatened complainant on 01.01.2024. The investigation of the case is in progress.

In this regard, Ms. Rajan Sawhney, Minister of Higher Education, Government of Alberta, Canada met Prof. Renu Vig, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University. Prof. Rumina Sethi, Dean University Instruction, Prof. Harsh Nayyar, Director Research, Prof. Kewal Krishan, Dean International Students, Prof. Anupama Sharma, Chairperson, Dr. SSBUICET, Mr. Gurpreet Sawhney, Senior Alumnus and Prof. Meekashi Goyal from Dr. SSBUICET were present. Highlighting the importance of global collaborations in the education sector, the minister affirmed a dedicated commitment to establishing cooperative initiatives that would positively impact students, faculty, and academic communities in both nations. Professor Renu Vig echoed a resolute commitment to broadening international collaborations, underscoring the potential of implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) at Panjab University. She emphasized that such implementation could catalyze academic exchange, foster research partnerships, and elevate the overall educational environment. The minister also visited Dr. SSBUICET and met the faculty members and discussed about prospective collaborative ventures. This move reflects the university’s commitment to fostering international ties, promoting academic exchange, and enhancing the overall educational experience for its students and faculty. The collaboration aims to facilitate joint dual degree programs, research projects, student and faculty exchanges, and collaborative academic programs between Panjab University and select universities in Alberta. By leveraging the strengths of both academic institutions, this partnership seeks to create a platform for shared knowledge, cultural exchange, and research innovation. This collaboration sets the stage for further international partnerships and opens doors for Panjab University to engage in similar initiatives with institutions worldwide. The university aims to continue expanding its global network, providing students with a truly internationalized education.
