NSS Students of Aryans Group organizes awareness Rally not to burn Stubble in Rice Fields

    To spread the awareness among the local farmers about the burning of Stubble in the Rice fields, NSS Volunteers of LL.B, BA-LL.B, BA, B.Com, B.Ed, MA(Edu), B.Sc (Agri) etc of Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh organized an awareness rally in the surrounding Villages Nepra, Thuha, Alampur. The rally was organized under the joint initiative of Punjab Pollution Control Board and Punjabi University, Patiala to spread the awareness among the local residents and College students not to burn Stubble but to procure it so to control Air Pollution. 

     Dr. Raman Rani Gupta, Principal, Aryans Degree College while speaking said that the Stubble in the rice fields can be useful to increase the productivity of the land as it helps to save the useful soil bacteria in the land.

Kick-starting Diwali festivities for the year, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is all set to organise the 23^rd edition of CII Chandigarh Fair 2018 at Parade Ground, Sector 17, Chandigarh, from October 26 to 29. Having become the most awaited pre-Diwali mega shopping festival over the past two decades, the festival will feature special attractions for people of all walks of life this year as well. As many as 200 exhibitors will put up their stalls at the fair for Diwali shoppers from the region. The mega exhibition will be spread over an area of 16,000 sqm. West Bengal, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand are participating states. Exhibitors from Afghanistan and Thailand are also participating in the Fair. The fair would be open for visitors from 10 AM to 8 PM on all four days.

   Horticulture Division of Panjab University has taken up an initiative to drive more and more people for ‘Swachhta Abhiyaan’. It is sensitizing residents and visitors alike by extending tie-ups and collaborations. Today the division collaborated with Social Substance from PU and about seventy workers/volunteers including kids cleaned the area of Students’ Centre at PU.  Er. Anil Thakur, Divisional Engineer of the Division, again led the team and about twenty trollys of garbage were collected from Students’ Centre. In an uphill task about one thousand plants were given required treatment and face of the place was uplifted. The drive continued for four hours and a hearty laugh symbolic to make the issues look trivial was shared among all as motivational ceremony. Er. Thakur told the correspondent that there are thousands of plants in the area and their regular upkeep is duty of all. Er. Aman Singla led the execution of waste collection. He appreciated the zeal of workers for this pious drive. 

Dr. MC Sidhu from Botany said people should open up and extend reach for guidance from experts for such initiative in context of misconceptions about pruning of trees, a much need maintenance routine.  Dr. Arun Bansal documented the whole process and felicitated the out-reach activities.  He brought along his two little kids who were in full spirit and cleaned a portion with self made broom. While Dr. Rajesh from physics was extremely happy with outcome Shri Navtej Singh Ji pointed out that such drives are much needed and frequency can be increased if common people join the movement. Er. It was a day of multiple events at Government Home Science College. A workshop was organized under the aegis of RUSA on Nutritional Genomics-Coming Era of Personalized Nutrition for faculty members and P.G. Students. Dr. Neelam Khetarpaul, ICAR Emeritus Professor (Foods and Nutrtion) CCS, Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, Haryana was the resource person. She talked about the role of gene expressions in maintaining a healthy nutritional status. She emphasized on the importance of eating a healthy balanced diet according to genetic profile. The role of nutrigenetics and nutrigenomics was also stressed upon as a significant factor to plan a diet for any individual. She also focused on Personalized nutrition as a need of the hour and the significance of making diet plans according to the genetic makeup of individuals. As a part of students overall development, students were made aware of basic self defense mechanisms demonstrated by the professional trainers of Ozi Gym and Spa. RJ Meenakshi from ‘94.3 My FM’ hosted a series of activities. She made students aware of the importance of self defense in a women’s life and also promoted the newly launched mobile aap Vodafone Sakhi. She introduced the facilities provided by this app to the students.In the afternoon session, another workshop was held under RUSA for the residential students of the college on Lifestyle Management for Healthy Well-being, wherein, Dr. Khetarpaul emphasized on the significance of lifestyle changes and taking balanced diet  in maintaining good health and well-being. She talked in length about management of double burden of over nutrition vs under nutrition as well as nutritious recipes to prevent Anemia. Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal, expressed her gratitude to all the honorable guests for their presence and sharing their valuable pool of knowledge.

    अविनाश सिंह शर्मा लोकसभा उम्मीदवार, चंडीगढ़ की आवाज पार्टी एवं राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष कमल किशोर शर्मा के नेतृत्व में 10 लोगों का एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल चंडीगढ़ के गृह सचिव  श्री अरुण कुमार गुप्ता जी से मिलकर चंडीगढ़ के विभिन्न सेक्टरों, कालोनियों में लगने वाले सप्ताहिक मंडी में नगर निगम इंस्पेक्टरों की तानाशाही रात के 10PM बजते बजते मंडी को बंद करवा देने की लिखित शिकायत गिरीह सचिव को देकर उन्हें यह बतलाया गया कि चंडीगढ़ शहर के शराब के ठेके, होटल, रेस्टोरेंट , बीयर बार, डांस क्लब रात के 1200 बजे तक खुलती हैं । शहर के लाखों निवासी व्यापारी वर्ग, आई. टी. प्रोफेशनल, प्राइवेट नौकरी वाले रात के 9:00 बजे तक  जब तक घर आते हैं और सब्जी मंडी में जाते हैं तो मंडी  बंद हो गई होती है । जिस कारण लोग हरी सब्जियां एवं फल खाने से वंचित रह जाते हैं । व्यापारियों के भी हरी सब्जियां एवं फल सड़ जाते हैं । तो शहर के लाखों निवासियों को भी परेशानी झेलनी पड़ रही है। हजारों मंडी व्यापारियों का भी शोषण हो रहा । गृह सचिव ने आश्वासन दिया कि जल्द से जल्द कार्रवाई करेंगे | अविनाश सिंह शर्मा ने स्पष्ट कहा कि चंडीगढ़ की आवाज पार्टी, चंडीगढ़ के लाखों निवासियों, व्यापारी वर्ग, नौकरी पेशा मंडी व्यापारियों के पक्ष में है । अगर प्रशासन की तानाशाही इसी तरह चलेगी तो चंडीगढ़ की आवाज पार्टी को मजबूर होकर पंजाब चंडीगढ़ राज भवन का घेराव करना पड़ेगा तो हम लो राज भवन का घेराव भी करेंगे । शहर की जनता के हित में उच्च न्यायालय से लेकर सर्वोच्च न्यायालय तक की भी लड़ाई लड़ेंगे ।

Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh interacted with the Fellows of National Academy of Sciences in his office, here today.While addressing, PU VC said that they are the Brand Ambassador of the Panjab University contributing in a big way for the growth of PU. PU VC said that with the cooperation of all, the various projects in PU can be taken to the next level in an accelerated mode to make a place as a global player. He informed all present about his various interactions in the recent past with the Union Ministers and the Chief Ministers, who assured of all possible help to PU.  He further informed that PU has got a Chair in the name of Shrimanta Sankardeva Chair for which the Govt. of Assam had sent a proposal to release Rs. 5 crore. The Fellows present shared their views about writing of projects, working on thrust areas and innovative ideas. They also urged to strengthen the interdisciplinary approach and to integrate the science and research programmers. Deliberating on various issues, it was considered appropriate by the august house that to work in togetherness and to inculcate a sense of belongingness for the University it was the requirement of time to work with open mind for integration and consolidation for the growth of this historic University which had a learned faculty. Prof. K.N. Pathak, former Vice Chancellor suggested that academic audit was the need of the hour and that there should not be any dilution in academic standard and research scholars should be encouraged to write good papers.  Other dignitaries present commended about high traditions of Panjab University and for creation of a central facility of costly equipments which could be made available at one place and can be used by other departments besides rationalization of service charges.  The meeting was attended by Prof. R.P. Bambah Former Vice Chancellor, Prof. K.N. Pathak former Vice Chancellor, Prof. R.J. Hans Gill, Prof. Sudesh Khanduja, Prof. Madhu Raka, Prof. A.K. Bhandari, Prof. S.K. विश्वास फाउंडेशन व एच.डी.एफ.सी बैंक ने परम पूज्य गुरुदेव श्री स्वामी विश्वास जी के आशीर्वाद से मंगलवार को यहां चण्डीगढ़ सेक्टर 20 सी की कंप्यूटर मार्केट में रक्तदान कैंप लगाया। यह कैंप एच.डी.एफ.सी बैंक व चण्डीगढ़ कंप्यूटर ट्रेडर्स एसोसिऐशन के सहयोग से लगाया गया। कैंप का संचालन ब्लड बैंक पी.जी.आई चण्डीगढ़ की टीम ने किया। कैंप में 111 रक्तदानियों ने भाग लिया जिसमें से 90रक्तदानियों ने रक्तदान करने का पुण्य कमाया । विश्वास फाउंडेशन की जनरल सेक्रेटरी साध्वी नीलिमा विश्वास एच.डी.एफ.सी बैंक से नीतिन कुमार व नीरज भाटिया, चण्डीगढ़ कंप्यूटर ट्रेडर्स एसोसिऐशन के चेयरमैन श्री संजीव वालिया व अन्य पदाधिकारियों ने दीप जलाकर कैंप की शुरूआत की ।

कैंप सुबह 10 बजे शुरू हुआ यह कैंप दोपहर 4 बजे तक चला। सभी ब्लड डोनर्स के लिए डाक्टरों द्वारा रिकमेंड रिफ्रेशमेंट का इंतजाम किया गया । सभी रक्तदानियों को उपहार के रूप में सर्टिफिकेट, कंटेनर व बैज देकर सम्मानित किया गया ।

  राज्य सूचना आयोग के कड़े रूख के चलते राज्य के सभी आईएएस, आईपीएस, एचसीएस, एचपीएस अधिकारियों को अपनी चल-अचल सम्पति सार्वजनिक करनी पड़ सकती है। राज्य सूचना आयुक्त हेमंत अत्री व शिव रमन गौड़ की खंड पीठ 25 अक्टूबर को चंडीगढ़ में इस 9 वर्ष पुराने केस की निर्णायक सुनवाई करेगी। गत 22 जून को केस की सुनवाई के उपरांत राज्य सूचना आयोग ने प्रदेश के मुख्य सचिव से इस संबंध में राय मांगी थी । मुख्य सचिव की राय आयोग को मिल चुकी है। आयोग ने सुनवाई में कार्मिक विभाग के अवर सचिव व डीजीपी कार्यालय के अधीक्षक तथा पुलिस मुख्यालय के एसपी (कानून व्यवस्था) को भी तलब कर रखा है । पानीपत के आरटीआई एक्टिविस्ट पीपी कपूर ने बातया कि 16 दिसम्बर 2009 को उन्होंने मुख्य सचिव को आरटीआई आवेदन भेजकर प्रदेश के सभी आईएएस, आईपीएस, एचसीएस व एचपीएस अधिकारियों की सम्पति का ब्यौरा मांगा था। कपूर ने इस ब्यौरे को हरियाणा सरकार की आधिकारिक वैबसाईट पर सार्वजनिक करने की मांग भी की थी । 

    कपूर ने बताया कि हरियाणा सरकार ने उनकी आरटीआई पर राज्य के सभी आईएएस से वर्ष 2012 में राय मांगी तो कुल 69 में से 36 आई.ए.एस ने अपनी सम्पति सार्वजनिक करने के लिए सहमति दे दी थी। जबकि 33 आईएएस ने इन्कार कर दिया था। दूसरी ओर पुलिस विभाग ने सम्पति की सूचना देने से स्पष्ट इन्कार कर दिया था। तभी से यह मामला राज्य सूचना आयोग में लम्बित था। गत 22 जून को केस की सुनवाई के उपरांत राज्य सूचना आयुक्त हेमंत अत्री व योगेन्द्र पाल गुप्ता की खंड पीठ ने प्रदेश के मुख्य सचिव से छह सप्ताह में सरकार की इस मुद्दे पर राय मांगी थी । इन अधिकारियों ने दी थी सहमति:- हरियाणा सरकार ने सभी आईएएस से इस मुद्दे पर उनसे राय मांगी थी। इस पर वरिष्ठ आईएएस अशोक खेमका, समीर माथुर, वी.उमा शंकर, टीके शर्मा, बलबीर मलिक, अमित अग्रवाल, पीके दास, जे. गणेशन सहित कुल 36 आईएएस ने अपनी सम्पति सार्वजनिक करने के लिए सरकार को सहमति दी थी । अशोक खेमका ने कैबिनेट सचिव व केन्द्रीय सतर्कता आयुक्त को भेजे पत्र में लिखा था कि ईमानदार लोकसेवकों को अपनी सम्पति का ब्यौरा सार्वजनिक करने में कोई भय नहीं होता । सम्पति के खुलासे से इन्कार:- तत्कालीन सरकार को भेजे अपने जवाब में आईएएस राजेश खुल्लर, सुनील गुलाटी, वीएस कुंडू, सुप्रभा दहिया, अशोक लवासा, विजय दहिया, डा० चन्द्रशेखर सहित कुल 33 आईएएस ने अपनी सम्पति का ब्यौरा सार्वजनिक करने से स्पष्ट इन्कार कर दिया ।

    दड़ुआ चौकी इंचार्ज के खिलाफ रेलवे स्टेशन टैक्सी यूनियन ने मोर्चा खोल दिया है । यूनियन ने मोहित कुमार व चौकी में तैनात हेड कांस्टेबल मंगत सिंह पर आए दिन जनता की बेइज्जती करने, दुव्र्यवहार करने व गाली गलौच करने का आरोप लगाया है । यूनियन के प्रधान गुरदीप सिंह, चेयरमैन बलवंत सिंह सैनी, वाईस चेयरमैन भूपेंद्र काका व उपप्रधान ओम प्रकाश, पूर्व पंच व यूनियन के सलाहकार संदीप लवली आदि किसी मसले को लेकर चौकी प्रभारी के पास गए थे जहां दोनों पुलिस कर्मियों ने उनके साथ गाली-गलोच वाली भाषा का इस्तेमाल किया l इस पर इन्होने पूर्व केंद्रीय रेलमंत्री पवन कुमार बंसल के निवास पर जाकर इस संबंध में जानकारी दी व बताया कि उक्त चौकी प्रभारी व हेड कांस्टेबल जनता की समस्याओं को सुलझाने के बजाए हमेशा दुव्र्यवहार पर उतारू रहते हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि पहले भी इनकी इसी आदतों के कारण कुछ महीने पहले चौकी का घेराव किया गया है । उन्होंने मांग की कि इनको तुरंत यहां से हटाया जाए व उनकी जगह योग्य अधिकारियों को थाने का प्रभार दिया जाए। बंसल ने उनकी मांग ध्यानपूर्वक सुनी व जल्द उच्चाधिकारियों तक उनकी बात पहुंचाने का आश्वासन दिया ।

  हाल ही में रिलीज़ हुई फिल्म आटे दी चिड़ी किसी  मोहताज़ नहीं है, रिलीज़ होने से  यह फिल्म दर्शकों में काफी प्रसिद्द हो चुकी है । हर कोई इस फिल्म में पंजाब के गंभीर मुद्दों को कोमलता से दर्शाने के लिए तारीफ करता देखा जा रहा है, चाहे वो नशेखोरी, शहरीकरण या लोगों में विदेश जाने की होड़ की बात हो । और अब विधान सभा कमेटी के मेंबर सोम प्रकाश फगवाड़ा (बी जे पी), प्रो.बलजिंदर कौर तलवंडी साबो (आप), सुखपाल भुल्लर खेमकरण (कांग्रेस), जगतार जग्गा रायकोट (आप), कुलतार सिंह संधवान कोटकपूरा (आप), बरिंदरमीत सिंह पहरा गुरदासपुर (कांग्रेस), लखबीर सिंह लख्खा पायल (कांग्रेस) ने परमिंदर सिंह पिंकी और कुलबीर सिंह जीरा के साथ इस फिल्म को वी आर, मोहाली में जाकर देखा । यह फिल्म अपनी घोषणा से ही मुख्य किरदार में अमृत मान और नीरू बाजवा की नयी जोड़ी को लेकर सुर्ख़ियों का हिस्सा रही है । इन दोनों ही प्रतिभावान सितारों के साथ साथ फिल्म में कई प्रसिद्ध कलाकार हैं जैसे कि पंजाबी सिनेमा के अनुभवी अभिनेता सरदार सोही, गुरप्रीत घुग्गी, बीएन शर्मा, करमजीत अनमोल, निर्मल ऋषि, हार्बी सांघा, निशा बानो, प्रीतो साहनी, बलवीर बोपाराय, दिलावर सिद्धू, प्रकाश गाधू और अनमोल वर्मा। ‘आटे दी चिड़ी’ पंजाब के मुद्दों को कोमलता से हास्यपूर्ण अंदाज़ में प्रस्तुत करती हुई एक कहानी है । यह फिल्म दर्शकों के लिए एक हंसी-ठहाकों का त्यौहार लाने का वादा करती है। फिल्म का निर्देशन किया है हैरी भट्टी ने और इसकी कहानी लिखी है राजू वर्मा ने ।

    यह फिल्म देखने के बाद फ़िरोज़पुर के एम् एल ए परमिंदर सिंह पिंकी ने कहा, "हम इस फिल्म के रिलीज़ से लेकर इस बारे में बहुत कुछ सुना था पर जब हमनें यह फिल्म देखी तो मुझे लगा कि जितना हमनें सुना वो बहुत कम था । पंजाब और इंसानी जज़्बात की हर बारीकी को इस फिल्म में बखूबी से फिल्माया गया है । मैं बहुत ही संतुष्ट हूँ कि हमारे फिल्म निर्माता इन मुद्दों की तरफ धयान दे रहे हैं । मैं सरकार को अपील करना चाहता हूँ कि इस तरह की फिल्मों को टैक्स फ्री किया जाए । मैं तेग प्रोडक्शंस को इस उपलब्धि के लिए बधाई देता हूँ । "जीरा के एम् एल ए कुलबीर सिंह जीरा ने फिल्म के बारे में अपने विचार व्यक्त करते समय कहा, "हम हमेशा फिल्में मनोरंजन के लिए देखते हैं पर आटे दी चिड़ी उन कुछ फिल्मों में से एक है जिसमें सिर्फ मनोरंजन पर ही धयान नहीं दिया गया बल्कि एक बहुत ही खूबसूरत सन्देश भी दर्शकों तक पहुंचाया गया है । यह एक गुण है जो हर फिल्म निर्माता को अपनाना चाहिए । और सरकार को ऐसी फिल्मों का ज्यादा से ज्यादा समर्थन करना चाहिए । मुझे इस फिल्म को देखकर बहुत ही मज़ा आया । आखिर में मैं यही कहूंगा की सारे लोग अपने परिवार के साथ इस फिल्म का मज़ा लो ।

    " आटे दी चिड़ी एक ऐसा प्रोजेक्ट है जिसमें हमने सिर्फ अपने पैसे नहीं बल्कि भावनाएं भी जोड़ी हैं । हमने इस फिल्म की एक एक चीज़ पर विशेष ध्यान दिया है। कहानी के लिए एक खूबसूरत स्क्रिप्ट के चुनाव से लेकर मुख्य किरदारों में इस तरह के मेहनती अभिनेताओं तक, हमने सुनिश्चित किया कि सब कुछ सर्वोत्तम ही हो। हम अपनी ओर से कोई भी कमी नहीं रखना चाहते। ट्रेलर और गानों को मिल रहे दर्शकों के भरपूर प्यार के लिए हम बहुत शुक्रगुज़ार हैं। अब हम फिल्म के रिलीज़ को लेकर बहुत उत्साहित हैं और उम्मीद करते हैं कि लोग हमारी कोशिश को ज़रूर सराहेंगे। इस मौके पर हम अपनी अगली फिल्म की घोषणा भी करना चाहेंगे जिसका नाम है @चिड़ी उड़ कां उड़@। इसकी बाकी सारी जानकारी मीडिया को जल्द ही दी जाएगी, ", तेग प्रोडक्शंस के चरनजीत सिंह वालिया और तेगबीर सिंह वालिया ने कहा । “आटे दी चिड़ी” का विश्व-वितरण मुनीश साहनी का ओमजी ग्रुप करेगा ।
