Gurna, Banur participated in exhibition

Students of the ‘Heritage, History and Culture
Society of GGDSD College Kheri Gurna, Banur took part in the exhibition
organised by the cooperation department of Punjab at Lapat Rai Bhawan,
Chandigarh . The handmade products anufactured by the college students were
displayed and sold there. Many self help groups from Ludhiana, Patiala, Rajpura
etc. participated in this exhibition. College Principal Dr. Sunil Kumar Baria
also visited the exhibition to motivate the students. He said that in
current scenario when our young generation is facing unemployment at large, it
is important that students should be self dependent. Coordinator of Heritage,
History and Culture Society of the college Dr. Lakhwinder Kaur said that
through this process the students have been associated with their heritage as
well as they are becoming self reliant . The cooperative officials said that
this is the first occasion when students of any college have participated in
this exhibition. Phulkari, Bagh, Pakihi cushions and other handmade products
were the main attraction of the exhibition.
