Social Substance organized need based educational workshops at three schools: Ankur Schools, PU, Government Model High School RC2, Dhanas, and Government Middle School, Sector 33, Chandigarh. At GMHS RC2, Dhanas Social Substance earlier identified that there is need of language teaching to students to uplift their skills in other subjects. After that a series of workshops were initiated at the school and today third workshop “Learning Language for Other Subjects”  was taken by Ms. Anika Kaundal who taught English to students of school. About fifty students were selected by Principal Mrs. Ravinder Kaur and need based teaching contents were delivered. At Ankur School, PU Mr. Puneet Arora delivered and interactive workshop “Healthy Food and Life Style” to students, faculty, and parents. It was a parent teacher meeting day at school and hundreds of people visited the school. All the participants were very appreciate of the initiative taken  by Dr. Parminder Duggle, Principal of Ankur School.
      At GMS, Sector 33 an interactive workshop was organized by Porf. (Retd.) Arundeep Ahluwalia “Earth and its eco-system” and Dr. Arun Bansal “Environment within and impact o health”. In a marathon two hours long session about eighty students and eight faculty members were benefitted. Ms. Mukesh Jakhar who initiated this talk at school expressed that it was amazing session comprising of various topics such as swachhta, health, environment, climate etc. At all the three schools feedback sessions were organized and it was demanded by the participants that such sessions are extremely useful and need to be organized again.
