CHANDIGARH CRIME BRANCH ARREST

TWO VEHICLE LIFTERS AND RECOVERED 5 STOLEN VEHICLES

In a major breakthrough team of Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police under the supervision of Insp. Harinder Sekhon, Insp. Ashok Kumar and with the close guidance of Sh. Udaypal, DSP Crime is able to arrest two vehicle lifters and recovered 5 stolen vehicles. On 12.7.21, accused Ramjeet Singh @ Ram and Maninder Singh were brought on production warrant in Crime Branch, Chandigarh and their 7 days police remand was obtained. During police remand on the instance of accused Ramjeet Singh @ Ram one Honda City No. CH03X-2734 involved in FIR No. 52 dated 29.3.2021 u/s 379,411 PS-34, Chandigarh was recovered. Apart from it 2 vehicles were also recovered on his instance, which were taken into police possession u/s 102 Cr.P.C.

S/V:-  Ramjeet Singh @ Ram S/o Sh. Manpreet Singh R/o # 2/83, Vikash Puri, New Delhi, aged 27 years.

On the instance of accused Maninder Singh Stepney of Honda City  No. CH03X-2734 involved in FIR No. 52 dated 29.3.2021 u/s 379,411 PS-34, Chandigarh was recovered and 2 Innova Cars were also recovered on his instance which were taken into police possession u/s 102 Cr.P.C

Previous History

Both the accused has tainted past, Accused Ramjeet Singh @ Ram is habitual and has been arrested by Chandigarh Police in 5 cases, Punjab Police in 4 cases and Haryana Police in 7 cases of vehicle theft. Accused Maninder Singh has also been arrested by Punjab Police in 5 cases of vehicle theft. Today accused persons were produced in the court and sent to judicial custody for 14 days. Investigation is still in progress.
