Six (06) persons arrested for consuming liquor at
public places
Chandigarh Police apprehended six
(06) persons in separate cases registered U/S 68-1(B) Punjab
Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC in Police Stations i.e. Ind. Area= 05 and
PS-39=01, while they were consuming liquor at public places on
18.02.2024. Later they were released on bail.
One arrested in theft case
Rahul R/o # 432, Phase-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh reported
that unknown person who stolen away complainant Activa no. CH-01BK-4283 from
near Japanese Garden, Sec. 31 on 17-02-2024. During the investigation, a
person namely Armaan Mani R/o # 1436/2, Sec.29 Chandigarh has been arrested in
this case. A case FIR No. 26, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in
PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Assault
A case FIR No. 14, U/S 324, 506 IPC has been
registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ajit R/o #
165, Charan Singh Colony, Mauli Jagran Chandigarh, (age-49 years) who alleged
that Rajesh R/o # 158, Charan Singh Colony, Mauli Jagran Chandigarh,
(age-38 years) who beaten/threatened to complainant near his residence on
16-02-2024. Complainant got injured and admitted to GMCH-32. Accused has
been arrested and later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in
progress.
Cheating
A case FIR No. 18, U/S 419, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC
has been registered in PS-Cyber Crime, Chandigarh on the statement
of Mohd. Safiqul Islam R/o SNCOs Mess, 12 Wing, Air force Station, Sec-31,
Chandigarh against unknown person who cheated complainant of Rs. 25,06,083/-
through whatsapp for online investment. Investigation of the case is in
progress.
Snatching
Ram Avadh R/o # 297-A, Sunder Nagar, Mauli Jagran,
Chandigarh reported that two unknown persons who snatched away complainant’s
mobile phone, Rs. 5000/- and Aadhar Card near Sukhna Chow bridge towards
Hallomajra Light Point on 17-02-2024. A case FIR No. 13 U/S 379-A, 34
IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation
of the case is in progress
