Centre, CSIR-CSIO won the first prize in Manufacturing & Engineering Sector
in the State Level Competitions of India Skills Chandigarh 2018.
Harish second year student of mechanical engineering at ISTC won the first prize (cash prize of Rs. 25,000/-) in this sector for the Skill CNC Turning. Sh. V.P. Singh Badnore, H.E. Governor of Punjab and Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh was the Chief Guest in the prize distribution function which was held by Chandigarh Skill Development Mission on 17.05.2018 at the Post Graduate Govt. College for Girls, Sector 42, Chandigarh. ISTC participated in various skills under Manufacturing & Engineering sector including Mobile Robotics, Polymechanics and Automation, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Team Challenge, CNC Milling and CNC Turning. In all 18 students of ISTC received prizes in various disciplines. These winners shall now participate in regional level competitions to be held at Lucknow in June 2018. Mr. Narinder Singh Jassal Principal ISTC received the Trophy and expressed his happiness about the performance of the students. Prof. R.K. Sinha, Director CSIO congratulated the students for exhibiting exemplary skills in the competition. It is worth mentioning that ISTC is well known brand for providing skill based education in India since 1963.
