The oldest Govt College of the "City Beautiful",
PGGC, Sector 11 celebrated its 66th Founder's day today with great enthusiasm
and fervour. Mr. Maninder S. Bains, President Alumni Association recalled his association
with the college that lay the foundation of his achievements made so far. He
lauded the efforts of the elders in shaping the future of the children and encouraged
all to constantly work hard to take their alma mater to greater heights. Mr.
Bains apprised everyone present with the information that the recreational room
in the college is near completion. He also shared the fact that all the rooms
in the college would shortly become smart rooms for the students. All the
members of the Alumni Association of the college along with the Principal
and staff members became nostalgic and shared memories of theirs with all
present during the specially organized get together to mark the occasion. To
commemorate the occasion a documentary film based on "Women Empowerment
and Leadership" produced and directed by Mr. Rajendra Rajan, an alumni of
the college was also released. The film highlighted the emerging role that
women play in holistic development of the society. Speaking on the occasion Principal Prof. Dr. B.P Yadav
thanked the Alumni members, former Principal's and the members of staff for
their time in making the event a success.
