the ISTC offers diploma courses in Electronics and Mechanical Engineering with

Fanuc, Havells, Exicom, Hero, Volvo Eicher, Gillard Electronics, Samsung and
HLS Asia to name a few. Prof. R.K. Sinha, Director CSIO, informed that in the
current scenario the interest of the students in technical education is
declining but ISTC has always been receiving a large number of applications for
admission to its diploma programs, because of its commitment to provide high
quality and engaged practical training. It is worth mentioning that ISTC was
set up with the help of Swiss Foundation for Technical Assistance in 1963 when
industry in India was in the infancy and was in dire need of skilled personnel
for manufacturing, operation and maintenance of their machines. The alumni of
this institute are settled globally and many of them are successful entrepreneurs
both in India and abroad.
