Students will be able to get education from monthly salary
contribution of police personnel: Sandhu

Director General of Police Mr B.S. Sandhu said that police would contribute
about Rs/-50 lakh per month from the salaries of its personnel for State Police
Education Fund so that wards of policemen could get qualitative education in
Police Public Schools in the state. Mr Sandhu was speaking after inaugurating
new building of DAV Police Public School at Fatehabad today. IG Hisar Range Mr
Sanjay Kumar, DC Dr J.K. Abhir and SP Fatehabad Mr Deepak Saharan were also
present on this occasion. It was recently decided in welfare meeting that every
policemen would contribute upto Rs 125 every month for education fund.
The
DGP said that providing
quality education and moral values to children is the key objective of DAV
Police Public Schools. Keeping this goal in mind, 22 schools have been set up
by the Police Department and all the schools have been provided with the
facilities of good teachers and others to ensure that students get quality
education. About 16,000 students are getting quality education in these
schools. Later on, while presiding over a meeting to review the law and order
situation with district police officers; the DGP directed them to register
complaints pertaining to crime against women without any delay in their
respective police stations. The government is quite serious with regard to
safety and security of women in the state. Every officer should also keep a
close vigil to ensure that no untoward incident takes places in their
respective areas.IG Hisar Range Mr Sanjay Kumar and SP Fatehabad Mr Deepak
Saharan were also present on this occasion.
