Vol. Shamber Singh conducted road safety awareness workshop for 3 BRD Air Force officers & staff about the
importance of ROAD SAFETY making special
awareness emphasis about follwing topics :
IMPACT OF USE MOBILE PHONE
WHILE DRIVING , WHILE WALKING & CROSSING ROAD
AVOIDE DRUNKEN DRIVING &
SPEEDING
BE A GOOD SAMARITAN
RIGHTS OF PEDESTRAIN AND
IMPORTANCE OF ZEBRA CROSSING"
Importance
of use of safety devices in motor vehicles i.e.
Seat belt in 4 wheelers &
wearing of Protective Heard gear HELMET for 2wheelers. Importance of
Lane Driving Besides this awareness
about the safety measures to be taken while driving, changing lane , overtaking
and crossing road were also told to the
participants. They were also awared about the Ammendments made in MV Act 1988 ,
CMVR 1989 and Motor Vehicle Driving Regulation 2017. Road crash videos were
also displayed during this awareness drive to make them realise that how’s one
person hurry or mistake leads to road side collisions resulting into fatality
& serious injuries and sensible driving keeping due care and caution and
following traffic rules can avoid road crashes and save lives on roads. Total
Air Force & Staff aware = 210, Literature distributed =2200, No Honking
Stickers =300
