BHAVAN GIRLS TOP TECHNOVATIONS NATIONAL LEVEL
Set to compete globally in the final round

Two teams
from Bhavan Chandigarh have topped the national level of the
prestigious Technovations Girls event. The
Technovation Challenge was held in over 100 countries to empower young girls to
solve social problems by building mobile apps. Team Cureres,
comprising Aditi Sharma of Class 10, Varuni Raghav of
Class 8 and Amani Singla of Class 7 made an app called Every
Edison for dyslexia patients. This app would help them learn to
interact with the world. Winning the national edition, this team has been
selected for the international round in the Senior category of 15-18 years. The
second team, Team Codebreakers comprising Pragya
Thakur, Khwahish and Anika Vohra from Class 8 developed an
app called Shopovia to help rural communities sell
their home-made and eco-friendly products anywhere. This team topped the
National level too, and has been selected in the international round for the
Junior category (10-14 years). Both teams were mentored by mentors Anubhav
Bhalla and Harleen Kaur from iTinker. Senior Principal Ms. Vineeta
Arora felicitated the students at the school campus and thanked the
members from iTinker for their patient mentoring. Vice Principal Ms.
Suparna Bansal lauded the students and the IT team for this phenomenal
success. The teams are now gearing up for International Round to be
held soon.
