हाल ही में लंदन के एक रियल एस्टेट टाइकून बल्ली सिंह ककर  ने पंजाबी फिल्म इंडस्ट्री में पैर रखने का फैसला लिया, एक ख़ास कोशिश और नज़रिये के साथ। वो अपनी पहली फिल्म @यारा वे@ रिलीज़ करने के लिए तैयार हैं । 5 अप्रैल को रिलीज़ होने वाली यह फिल्म, पंजाब की ज़िन्दगी पर आधारित है, जब पंजाब को राजनीती ने नहीं छुआ था । आज़ादी से पहले की पृष्ठ भूमि पर बनी यह फिल्म 3दोस्तों की कहानी को दर्शाता है जो अलग अलग धर्मों के हैं और कैसे उनकी दोस्ती भारत पाक विभाजन की घोषणा से गुज़रती है । इस बारे में बात करते हुए, बल्ली सिंह ककर  ने कहा, “ मनोरंजन जगत में मेरा कदम रखने का मुख्य कारन था कि मैं अपने पंजाबी दोस्तों को वो कहानिया बताना चाहता हूँ  जिन्होनें मुझे निजी तौर पर प्रभावित किया है और जिन्होनें मुझे कुछ सिखाया है। जब राकेश मेहता ने मुझे यारा वे का विषय सुनाया तो मैंने तुरंत हाँ क्र दी क्यूंकि मैं खुद एक प्रवासी हूँ । अपनी कम्पनी गॉर्डोन ब्रिज प्रा.लि. के साथ बल्ली सिंह ककर  हर मुमकिन कोशिश कर रहे हैं कि इस फिल्म के साथ पंजाबी इंडस्ट्री के सब से बेस्ट लोग जुड़ें। और डायरेक्ट करने के लिए या ज़िन्दगी की नज़दीकी से कहानी सुनाने के लिए राकेश मेहता से बेहतर कौन हो सकता है । मैं राकेश मेहता को अपने कुछ दोस्तों के साथ लंदन में मिला। वह एक अचानक मुलाकात थी और मैं भगवन का शुक्रगुज़ार हूँ कि मेरे इस काम की शुरुआत सही लोगों के साथ हो रही है । अदाकारों से लेकर शूटिंग और संगीत तक फिल्म में हर बारीकी पर धेयान दिया गया था जितना स्क्रिप्ट को चाहिए था, उन्होनें आगे कहा “ यारा वे” में युवराज हंस, गगन कोकरी, रघबीर बोली और मोनिका गिल मुख्य किरदारों में नज़र आएंगे। इस फिल्म को लिखा है रुपिंदर इंदरजीत ने और डायरेक्ट किया है राकेश मेहता ने ।

A case FIR No. 33, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. Action against Gambling/Satta Chandigarh Police arrested Sham Bahadur R/o # 460, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh while he was playing satta near booth No.25/26, NIC market, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 14.02.2019. Total cash Rs. 1,150/- was recovered from him. In this regard, a case FIR No. 37, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-I.T Park, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress. One apprehended with fake number on Motor Cycle Chandigarh Police arrested Birjesh R/o Jhuggi No. 3288, Sector-25, Chandigarh from T-Point near Govt. toilet, Sector-25, Chandigarh while he was using fake Registration number CH-01AR-0214 on black pulsar Motor Cycle (original No. is HP-55A-2181). Attempt to murder/Arms Act A case FIR No. 16, U/S 307, 323, 341, 506, 34 IPC & 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of Tarsem Jain R/o # 15/B, Mount Kailash Colony, Gazipur road, Zirakpur, Punjab who alleged that 2 unknown persons occupant of creta car beaten him with iron rods and also threatened complainant by showing pistol near Rajdhani Society, Sector-49/B, Chandigarh on 13.02.2019. Complainant got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Later on one person namely Sandeep R/o # 2247-48, Sector-15, Housing Board Colony, Distt.-Sonipat, Haryana (present address) & permanent address R/o village-Bhatgaon, Distt.-Sonipat, Haryana has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

एमसीएम डीएवी कॉलेज फॉर वीमेन के फाइन आर्ट्स विभाग ने, कॉलेज की एनएसएस इकाई के सहयोग से, एक विशिष्ट कला वारली से कॉलेज की छात्राओं को समृद्ध करने के उद्देश्य से पांच दिवसीय कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया । कॉलेज की फाइन आर्ट्स विभाग की अध्यक्षा डॉ पूजा शर्मा ने एक समृद्ध भारतीय संस्कृति को दर्शाती इस विशिष्ट वारली कला की बारीकियों से छात्राओं को अवगत कराया । कार्यशाला के दौरान सीखे गए कलात्मक कौशल को दिखाते हुए, प्रतिभागियों ने कॉलेज प्रशासनिक ब्लॉक की दीवारों को अपने दैनिक दिनचर्या की विभिन्न गतिविधियों को वारली कला कौशल के साथ चित्रित करके एक सौंदर्यवादी रूप दिया। इसके अलावा, छात्राओं ने वारली कला का उपयोग करके स्वच्छता से सम्बंधित आकारों को भी दीवारों पर उकेर कर इस कला को एक समकालीन मोड़ दिया । कॉलेज की प्रिंसिपल डॉ.निशा भार्गव ने छात्राओं के कलात्मक कौशल की प्रशंसा व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि एमसीएम में छात्राओं को सैद्धांतिक ज्ञान के साथ साथ व्यावहारिक ज्ञान देने पर भी जोर दिया जाता है और यह कार्यशाला इसी श्रंखला का एक प्रयास है ।

University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management (UIHTM), Panjab University Chandigarh, Panjab University organized its 7th edition of HOSTOCON, an international conference on medical health and wellness tourism in India, Status Trends and Future Prospects. The dignitaries for the event were His Eminence Mr. Willy Kipkorir Bett, High Commissioner Kenya to India, Dr. Marina Ambrosecchio, President and founder UET Italia, Dr. Bikas Mehdi, PGI, Professor R.K. Gupta, Vice Chancellor Maharaja Agrasen University, Professor Sanjay Kaushik, Director ICSSR and Dean College Development Council, Dr. Subhash Sharma, PU Fellow and Dr. Varinder Garg, Radiologist, OSD to Health Minister PGI. In his welcome address Dr. Subhash Sharma described significance of India in medical tourism also one of the best locations to obtain top quality medical treatments and indisputably a leader in the promotion of medical tourism. He further emphasisied that Indian health care industry is growing at a faster pace and it is likely to increase by $280 billion industry by 2020.Dr. Varinder Garg discussed that India is equally competent to its western counterparts as it offers low cost treatment and competent quality of services. He said that Kitchens in homes of India are itself a pharmacy. The amalgamations of various herbs and spices Served as potential healers for various diseases and ailments. He also said that channelizing medical tourism would help create employment and boots infrastructural facilities. Prof. R.K. Gupta during his speech told that medical tourists come to India for dental, cosmetic, cardiovascular and neurological treatments. He suggested that tourism sector should work closely with the industry chambers, students should be trained with an additional language, there should be a joint platform of information and communication also the services of Ayurveda homeopathy and naturopathy should be expanded and panchkarma should be highlighted. Prof. Marina emphasized that India and Italy should work hand in hand for expanding their niche medical tourism and to tap its full potential. She discussed how Italy and India are similar in respect of medical tourism however, lack of Proper infrastructural facilities and marketing have somehow lead to the degradation in medical tourist’s influx. Mr. Willy said that Kenya and India have relations since ancient times. Also he said that Kenya is a potential market of medical tourists for niche medical tourism in India. He described the reasons for the emergence of medical tourism in India. According to him time has come for the policy makers for putting up framework and suggesting the government. Dr. Bikas Mehdi explained how people who had been treated by Indian doctors had a lesser mortality rate. He described how competent MBBS professionals in India are. However the communication was found to be a drawback for the development of niche tourism. Prof. Sanjay Kaushik described the model for ideal medical tourism and suggested three ways for expansion of the same. Dr. Prashant Gautam, Director UIHTM, presented the vote of thanks.

The Centre for Academic Leadership and Educational Management under the aegis of PMMMNMTT of MHRD, Government of India organised a national workshop on RTI: Awareness, Issues and Challenges on 14-15 Feb 2019. The workshop drew the resource person from eminent institutions like High Court of Punjab and Haryana, University of Lucknow, Himachal Pradesh National Law University, DSNLU,Visakhapatnam, and University Institute of Legal Studies, School of Communication Studies, Department of Laws, School of Communication Studies, Department of Education and Dean International Students, Panjab University. The participants for this workshop were the administrators, principals, teachers, research scholars from various parts of the country. This workshop focused on topics like RTI: international national scenario with special reference to overview of RTI act, Powers and Function of Authorities with reference to misuse of RTI by Citizens, RTI: Ocean in a Pot and Roadmap of the RTI Act: Overview of implementation and future. Dr. Jyoti Rattan explicated about the efforts made by United Nation in laying down the principles on Freedom of Information 2000 which was adopted subsequently by the various countries. Mr. Yash Pal Singhal, Chief CIC, Haryana concentrated on misuse of RTI and he shared examples of endless cases to elaborate. Prof. Ranbir Kaur Bangu elaborated on the basic concepts covered under RTI which need specific interpretation. Dr. Varun Chachar from University of Lucknow shared his experiences on RTI and emphasised on the digitalization of RTI. There was a panel discussion besides the varied productive sessions on RTI: Boon or a Bane. Prof. Mohanmeet from School Communication Studies, Panjab University said information is currency of 21st century, those who have the information have the power. She  emphasised that “no law is bad by spirit, it’s the lack of implementation and enforcement that makes it a bad law”. Prof. S.Surya Prakash from Vice Chancellor, DSNLU, Vishakapatnam shared that there should be some protection for those activists who work against corruption and transparency. The valedictory session was graced by the Honb’ble Mr. Justise Augustine George Masih, Judge High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Prof, Nistha jaswal, VC, Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla and Prof. Nandita Singh, Department of Education, Panjab University. The participants shared their experiences and mentioned that this workshop was utterly beneficial. They came to know about the important section of RTI which they were previously not clear about. The speakers of the sessions also clarified their doubts giving lucid explanations.

पंजाब में बढती हिंसक वारदातों, अपहरणों, नशों से मुक्त करने व लोगों को खुशहाल जिंदगी देने का प्रयास एस एस मोहाली की पुलिस लगातार करती आ रही है l इस प्रयास के चलते एसएसपी मोहाली ने निर्देशों का भी पालन करते हुए आज मोहाली में जगह जगह पर नाके लगाये गये थे l आज मटोर में पुलिस द्वारा लगाये गये नाके में  मिली कामयाबी के बारे में स्थानीय मटोर एस एच ओ दलजीत सिंह ने बताया के नाके के दोरान सेक्टर 71के कारगिल पार्क से निकलते हुए हमें 2 युवक, अमनदीप उर्फ़ ( मोनू ) उम्र 24 साल, सेक्टर 41 चंडीगढ़ निवासी व अन्दीप रावत उम्र 24 साल , सेक्टर 41 निवासी  चंडीगढ़, पर संदेह हुआ व उन्हें रुकने के लिए कहा तो वह भागने लगे तभी उन्हें वहां धरदबोचा l तलाशी के दोरान दोनों युवकों की जेबों से 15-15 ग्राम हिरोइन प्राप्त हुई जिनकी बाज़ार में कुल 1:50 लाख रुपय लगाई गई है l दोनों युवकों पर पुलिस की आई पी सी धारा 21, 61,85, के तहत मामला दर्ज़ कर लिया है l गिरफ्तार करने के बाद उन्हें कोर्ट में पेश किया जायेगा व कोर्ट से उनका रिमाण्ड वक्त मांगा जायगा l जिससे वह उनसे और ज्यादा जानकारी ले सके l

एसएस नगर मोहाली शिरोमणि अकाली दल जिला मोहाली शहरके व पूर्व मार्किट प्रधान बलजीत सिंह कुभडा की वीरवर दोपहर बाद सड़क हादसे में अक्त्स्माक मृत्यु हो गयी l कार में उनके साथ पत्नी बीबी राजेंदर कौर, ड्राईवर थे l हादसे के बाद दोनों को नजदीकी सिविल हस्पताल में ले उपचार के लिए लाया गया l 

चेकअप के पश्चात राजेंदर कौर को फोर्टिस अस्पताल में शिफ्ट कर दिया गया l ड्राईवर तरसेम को भी काफी घम्भीर चोटें आई हुई थी l दोनों को ही काफी घम्बिर चोटें आई हुई थी l प्राप्त जानकारी के मुताबिक यह हादसा लालडू के नजदीक जिस वक्त हुआ तब गाडी के आगे अचानक से एक बाइक सवार आ गया था तभी ड्राईवर उसे बचाता बचाता नियंत्रण खो देने की वजह से पटरी पर टकरा गया व गाड़ी का अगला टायर फट गया और गाड़ी ने सड़क पर काफी पलटियां खायी l बलजीत कुभडा की मोके पर ही मौत हो गयी व साथ ही मोटर बाइक सवार की भी l  हादसे की जानकारी मिलते ही पंजाब विधायक एन के शर्मा ने कुभडा के निधन पर अपना शोक व्यक्त किया l

 घटना की जानकरी मिलते ही घटना स्थल पर जाकर मोहाली पुलिस की टुकड़ी ने बलजीत सिंह कुभडा के शव को अपने कब्जे में ले लिया व घटना की आगे कार्यवाही शुरू कर दी है l
