A Junior Golf Coaching Camp will be conducted
at the Chandigarh Golf Club from 20th – 30th June for children
aged 7 – 17 years. This coaching camp will be conducted by European Golf
Teachers Federation certified coach Ajay Gujral who has over 16 years of golf
teaching experience. This is the 3rd coaching camp in June by
Gujral after the success of the first two.All
these Coaching Camps for children are a part of the Chandigarh Golf Club Junior
Golf Training Programme which has been initiated three weeks ago by the
President of the Club Sh. Birinder Singh Gill. He has given his full
support and believes in complete promotion of Junior Golf in the Tricity. The
idea behind the CGC Junior Training Programme is to introduce as many children
as possible to the game of golf in the form of camps, individual lessons and
group coaching sessions. Outstation children who are visiting Chandigarh during
their summer vacations are also welcome to enrol. Even children who are
non-members of the club and wish to play the game are welcome to enrol. Golf
equipment and balls will be provided to the children who do not have their own
and each child will also receive a certificate upon completion of this training
programme. The programme will be conducted at the state-of-the-art driving
range of the Chandigarh Golf Club. The Learning facility is fully covered and
protects the children from the Sun. This programme will focus on the
fundamentals of the golf game including basic swing technique, short game
instruction, Grip, Aim, Alignment, Stance, Posture and integration of the core
values of the golf game ranging from proper etiquette, dress code and good
sportsmanship.
