Tandon, Investigation Expert/Advisor to Cyber Crime Unit of Uttar Pradesh
Police at Agra and Cyber Crime Cell Gurgaon, Haryana Police, conducted workshop
on cyber crime and safety in the school. The workshop was conducted for
students of Classes IX – XII, to teach students the pros and cons of usage of
internet and cyber safety. The session was very interactive and the students
were told about use and misuse of Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, E-mail ids,
messages, downloads etc. The workshop discussed some important issues like fake
profiles on social networking, defamatory posts, bullying on the internet,
hacking, and various issues faced by students while using internet, etc. It was an eye opener for them as in their own
innocence and immaturity they could land in trouble but their awareness would
be their own protection. Mr. Tandon
elaborated on how to protect their security and follow the safety rules.
