The
Literary Society of GGDSD College, Kheri Gurna, Banur, organised an Inter
School Debate Competition on 19th November, 2019. As many as 20 teams and more
than 40 students representing schools from various parts of Punjab, Haryana and
Chandigarh participated in this competition. The Team Trophy was won by
S.A. Jain Sr. Model School, Ambala. 1st position was bagged by Aditi Vijay from
P.M.L.S.D Public School, Sec. 32C, Chandigarh, 2nd position was bagged by
Shobhishtha Sharma from Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Sec. 40,
Chandigarh & 3rd position was bagged by Sahib Sharma from Learning
Paths School, Mohali and Shanan Dhaka from Army Public School, Chandimandir. Major
Gen. A.K. Shori, Chairman, Governing Body of SD College Kheri Gurna graced the occasion
with his esteemed presence. He suggested that participation is determined by
the intention to participate and that the intention is determined by the
attitude towards learning new paradigms of success. Worthy Principal of the
college Dr. Sunil Kumar Baria congratulated the winners and emphasized upon the
spirit of participation among the students. Dr. Meenakshi Negi, Head
Department of Commerce and Management delivered the Vote of Thanks and
expressed her gratitude to all those who contributed in one way or the other to
make this event a success. The prizes were distributed to the students by Maj
Gen A.K. Shori. The function concluded with the recitation of National Anthem. The
event was coordinated by Dr. Ankita Gupta, Dr. Poonam Pahuja and Dr. Lakhvinder
