INAUGURATION OF RIDING SCHOOL AND POLICE SUBSIDIARY CANTEEN

Today,
Sh. Praveer Ranjan IPS, DGP/UT, Chandigarh has inaugurated Riding School/Club
and upgraded Chandigarh Police Subsidiary Canteen (a unit of Kendriya Police
Kalyan Bhandar) at Police Lines, Sector-26, Chandigarh. During the occasion Sh.
Omvir Singh Bishnoi, IPS, IGP/UT, Sh. Kuldeep Singh Chahal, IPS, SSP/UT, Ms.
Manisha Chaudhary, IPS, SSP/Traffic & Sec., Sh. Manoj Kumar, IPS, SP/Hqrs
and other senior officers of Chandigarh Police were present. The riding school at
Police lines is now equipped with new wings, jump and other infrastructures
along with more wide area. The police wards and anyone apart from the police having age above 10
years can become the member of this club and seek coaching of horse riding. The
police department will depute expert in this club to impart coaching for horse
riding. The monthly packages and subscription facility will be provided at
nominal charges. The police canteen has been giving facility of buying
daily use grocery items, electronic items and other available items on
concessional/subsidiary rates to the police force. Recently, DGP/UT has inspected
the Chandigarh Police canteen and necessary directions to the concerned
officials to raise infrastructure and overall improvement of Police Canteen was
given. The area of canteen now has been raised and new grocery & other items
have been included in police canteen. The police officials & their family
members would be benefitted to buy maximum necessary items at one place.
