MCC ORGANIZES HOLI MILAN SAMAROH AT SECTOR 16

The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh
organized Holi Milan Samaroh at Rose Club, Community Centre, Sector 16,
Chandigarh in the evening. Mrs. Sarbjit Kaur Dhillon, Mayor, Chandigarh was the
chief guest during the programme. Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, Sh.
Sorabh Joshi, area councillor, other councilors, all senior officers of MCC
attended the colorful programme. While expressing her gratitude to the people
of Chandigarh, city Mayor appealed that citizens may opt for dry colours to
save water this time. She said that the festival marks spreading positivity and
warmth amidst each other and this also holds true for the colleagues. She said
that one can also aim to make the day special for their extended family at
their workplace and all the councilors and officers of Municipal Corporation
are our extended family members. The Mayor said Holi festival also marks the
advent to the spring season and signifies the end to all the negativities. She
appealed to the citizens to celebrate this festival of Holi in a true spirit of
amity, mutual love, goodwill and brotherhood.
