Chandigarh Traffic Police along with
Leo’s Club and For a Cause organized “Chandigarh awareness rallies 'UNGEARED2022'
at Sukhna Lake. Smt. Kirron kher, Hon’ble Member of Parliament was the Chief Gues
to this function and flagged off three awareness rallies consisting of cycling,
running and walkathon group sin the presence of smt sarabjit kaur, Mayor, shnitinya
dav, home secretary, shpra veer ranjan, dg put and various other senior officers
of Chandigarh administration and police. The event was organized with a view to promote the use of non motorized modes of transportation
by the citizens of the city beautiful there by helping in decongestion of traffic
on the roads. Smt kirron kher, mp encouraged
all citizen stouse cycles, walks for short distance trip switch will contribute
towards a healthier and environment friendly lifestyle by reducing air and noise
pollution levels. Various voluntary groups
such as cycle giri, run club, lions club etc. collaborated with Chandigarh police
in the success ful conduct of this event. To promote cycling, free cycle repair
camp was setup by phirki cycles. Going with the theme of reducing carbon foot print,
mg Chandigarh displayed their new electric vehicle morris garage son site. Giving
impet us to aheal their lifestyle, a free medical camp was put up by sghs hospitals.
