Chandigarh Police arrested Asmat R/o SCO No. 14, Grain
market, Sector26, Chandigarh, Age 22 years, Nadim R/o, SCO No. 20, Grain
market, Sector-26, Chandigarh, Age 21 years, Nusad R/o # 281, PH-2, BDC,
Sector-26, Chandigarh, Age 35 years, and Tahir R/o SCO No. 14, Grain
market, Sector26, Chandigarh, Age 45 years while they were gambling near CCT
wall, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 05.01.2024. Total cash Rs. 1920/- was
recovered from them. A case FIR No. 02, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered
in PS-26, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the
case is in progress.
Action against illicit liquor
Chandigarh Police arrested Rohit R/o 2130, New indra
colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh (age 20 yrs) and recovered 42 Nips of country
made liquor marka super Himmat santra from his possession near back side khera
Mandir, Manimajra, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 01 U/S 61-1-14 Excise
Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out.
Investigation of the case is in progress.
Cheating
A case FIR No. 08, U/S 464, 465, 470, 471 & 120B has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of A lady residence of Manimajra, Chandigarh who alleged that Sandeep Chojar R/o # 56, Sector-21-A, Chandigarh Age 55 years, cheated with complainant by withdrawing cash Rs. 4,93,500/- from her account at branch Sec-37, Chandgarh by making her forged signatures on forms. Investigation of the case is in progress
