सभी ग्रामीण आपका ध्यान आकर्षित करना चाहते है कि जबसे यूटी बनी है तभी से प्रशासन लाल डोरा के बाहर छोटे-छोटे प्लाटों की रजिस्ट्री करता आ रहा है, यह जानते हुए भी की इतने छोटी जगह पर खेती-बाड़ी नहीं हो सकती है। लाल डोरा के बाहर हर किसी प्रकार का निर्माण अवैध है लेकिन इसके बावजूद यह सब कुछ होता रहा और प्रशासनिक अधिकारी सोते रहे। ग्रामीण आज यह पूछ रहे है की :-

1. अगर छोटे प्लाटों में खेती-बाड़ी नहीं हो सकती है तो इनकी रजिस्ट्रीया क्यों की गयी?

2. जब लोग इन प्लाटों पर मकान बना रहे थे, तब निर्माणों को उसी समय क्यों नहीं रोका गया?

3. जब मकान बनकर तैयार हो गए तब बिजली-पानी के कनेक्शन क्यों दिए गए?

4. यदि यह सब कुछ अवैध था, तो प्रशासन ने यहाँ रहने वालों के वोट, राशन कार्ड, आधार कार्ड क्यों बनवाये?

5. ये सारी मूलभूत सुविधाएँ देने के बाद क्या यह नहीं समझा जाये कि इन बसे हुए लोगों को मान्यता दे दी गई है?

प्रशासन खुद कुम्भकर्णी नींद सोता रहा और आज उन्हें कोई नैतिक अधिकार नहीं है कि खून पसीने की कमाई से बनाये गरीबों के मकान ढहाए जाए जो  की उनके साथ धक्काशाही, अन्याय और अत्याचार हो रहा है और इसे तुरंत रोका जाए। साथ ही इसका स्थाई समाधान किया जाए|

    महोदय  अगर यह सब अवैध निर्माण होता रहा है तो समय- समय पर रहते सम्बंधित अधिकारी कहा थे? उनकी जवाबदेही तय कर उनके खिलाफ भी आपराधिक मामला दर्ज किया जाए, जिन्होंने यह सब होने दिया।

The students of Special Cell, Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh visited the School Library on 4^th May, 2018, with the Special Educator Ms. Geeta Bajaj. The Librarian Ms. Anju Verma welcomed them to the Library and briefed them about the types of books and the collection available in the library. She also informed them about the Issue and Return policy of the library and encouraged them to read the books of their interest.

 Several short answer type questions were asked from the students to reinforce the topic. Such visits go a long way to enhance the interest of the students in the library and also make them feel an integral part of the society.

The cabinet was also introduced to all the classes and house meeting was conducted to explain their roles.

In an effort to make the young generation diligent and confident and to inculcate the values of responsibility in them, an Investiture Ceremony of the school cabinet of the Senior Secondary wing of PML S D Public School, Sector-32, Chandigarh was held during a special assembly at the school premises – Head Girl, Head Boy, Vice Head Boy and Vice Head Girl  alongwith other members of the cabinet were sworn in the presence of Principal Mrs. Monica Sharma, Samarbir Singh and Vanshika Mehra of Class-XII were elected as Head Boy and Head Girl respectively. The selected members also took an oath to abide by the school rules in carrying out the responsibilities conferred to them. Students were also told to co-operate with the cabinet members to maintain discipline in the school.

These views were expressed by the Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister, Punjab, Mr. Navjot Singh Sidhu yesterday late evening at the Punjab Kala Bhawan on the occasion of ' BIRHA DA SULTAN-A Musical tribute to Shiv Kumar Batalvi'. The minister said that the mesmerizing words penned by Shiv Batalvi echo everywhere and every soul can relate to them as they have deep connection with each emotion of human life.

Divulging more, the minister said that the Punjab's history is replete with those who have contributed immensely to the beauty of its literature and now, the Punjab Kala Parishad would take a lead in keeping alive their memory by installing statues of 5 such eminent personalities. He also said that this novel beginning is proposed to be made from 6^th May i.e. the death anniversary of Shiv Batalvi. The minister further said that Shiv Batalvi would always be with us in the form of his songs. On the occasion, prominent singer Rinku Kalia regaled the audience with her par excellence rendition of the songs penned by Shiv Batalvi with some of them being 'Ik kudi jihda naam muhabbat gum hai,' 'Mayein ni Mayein mein ik shikra yaar banaya', 'Bhatthi waaleye chamber diye daaliye, peeran da paraga bhunn de', 'Ajj din chareya tere rang warga', 'Mainu tera shabab lai baitha' and 'Mere dilan deya mehrama'. The better half of Shiv Batalvi- Mrs. Aruna Shiv Batalvi and Prof Kuldeep Kaur Tiwana, Wife of Late Prof Rajpal Singh were honoured on the occasion by Mr. Navjot Singh Sidhu and the Chairman of the Punjab Kala Parishad Padamshri Dr. Surjit Patar. Dr. Satinder Sartaaj, noted Sufi Singer and Dr. Irshad Kamil, famous lyricists from Bollywood, both distinguished PU Alumni graced the Scholarship Award Function organized by Panjab University Alumni Association, here today.

            Dr. Kamil felt nostalgic about being in his alma mater, PU and in his address expressed that it is a great feeling to be back home. He said that this is a function of connectivity which gives opportunity to meet all and expressed his gratitude to the University for making him what he is today. International Brand Ambassador of PU, Dr. Sartaaj, felt himself at home and said, “Art and Culture is a way to create bond and harmony between individuals, and recognize themselves.” Dr. Sartaaj referring to PU as his ‘Mecca’, urged the youth to take the culture further to next generation. He was happy regarding PU introducing Shahmukhi course from next session.

            Emphasizing upon the importance of alumni association with the University, Prof. Dr. Arun Kumar Grover marked the 99 years of conception of PU at Lahore in 2017-18 and said, “Alumni connectivity with old and young is important to extend, examine and create the frontier of knowledge.” He informed that next year will commemorate the centenary of Honors School of PU along with that of Prof. R.C. Paul, who stayed as Vice Chancellor for a period of 10 years. A stamp would be released on the occasion, he added.

            Prof Monga informed that the scholarship Award Function was started in the year 2003. This is the 15th Award Function. This year 67 scholarships are being awarded out which, 30 are for affiliated colleges of PU and 37 for PU students, informed Prof Monga. The toppers are being paid a scholarship of Rs. 10,000/- along with a Certificate of Merit and Trophy for Academic Excellence. All the graduate and post-graduate toppers have also been conferred with the honorary life membership of PUAA by incurring expenditure of Rs.1000/- for each from its own funds. Apart from this 16 stipends are also being given, he added.

District Child Protection Society under the aegis of District Magistrate/Collector, Chandigarh Administration organized a Child Beggar rescue drive  at  traffic light points sector 34/35, Elante Mall , traffic lights of Sector 34/ 33/ 22 ,  and near sector  20 Jama Mazjid  Chandigarh.A total of 6 children ( 3 boys and 3 girls )  were rescued in the drive, who  have been provided with temporary shelter  after filing of DDR and medical checkup with orders of Child Welfare committee until further enquiry may be conducted to assess the background of children and their families. Out of 6 children 4 Children have been rescued from the Jama Mazjid sector 20 at 2:00 PM under the Category of Child beggary and 2 Children were rescued from the Elante Mall at 8:00 PM. The children were found selling products such as ballons, other items near main gate of Elante Mall.

The District Child Protection Society set up under the Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) for the implementation the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2015 and model rules 2016. It was observed during the drives that a number of Children are seen begging and selling alms often accompanied by the adults. District Child Protection Society will organize drives to crackdown on forced child begging and child labour as well in the city. Further various awareness programs are organized by the Society to create public awareness about the Child protection issues.  The drive was conducted by Ms. Tabhsum Khan, District Child Protection officer, Ms. Anita Ranjan, Child Protection Officer (Non Institutional),  Mr. Irshad , Social Worker &  Ms. Anita and Mr. Rajesh Outreach Workers from the District Child Protection Society.

कॉंग्रेस के स्थानीय महासचिव शशिशंकर तिवारी ने कॉलोनी नंबर 4 के निवासियों के साथ मलोया स्थित नयी कॉलोनी का दौरा किया और देखा कि कॉंग्रेस सरकार के समय में चंडीगढ़ के पूर्वसांसद एवम पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री पवन कुमार बंसल के अथक प्रयासों से यहां 5000 मकान बनकर बिल्कुल तेैयार है लेकिन भाजपा शासित चंडीगढ़ प्रशासन भाजपा नेताओं को खुश करने के लिये इन्हे अलॉटनहीं कर रहा l तिवारी ने आरोप लगाया कि राजनीतिक आकाओं को खुश करने के लिए अधिकारीगण इनकी अलॉटमेंट रोक कर बैठें हैं भाजपा भी अपने राजनीतिक फायदे के लिए जानबूझ कर आम जनता के फायदेको नजरअंदाज कर रही है व 2019 के चुनाव नज़दीक का इंतज़ार कर रही हैl उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि भाजपा ने एक तो अपने 4 साल सता बिताने के बाद भी चंडीगढ़ के झुग्गी झोपडी व कालोनीवासियोंके लिये एक भी काम नही किया ऊपर से पिछले 4 वर्षों से इतनी बड़ी कॉलोनी बनकर तैेयार है उसे भी अलॉट नही करवा रही हैl उन्होंने कहा कि  बड़े शर्म की बात है कि चंडीगढ़ भाजपा बन कर तैयारमकानों को भी अपने ही प्रधानमंत्री द्वारा उद्धघाटन नही करवा पा रही है ।    तिवारी ने कहा कि चंडीगढ़ प्रशासन एक मज़दूर से उसका उद्घाटन  कराकर जल्द से जल्द मज़दूरों के लिये बने इन मकानों को उन्हे अलॉट करेl अगर प्रशासन भाजपा के दवाब मे ऐसा नही करती है तोचंडीगढ़ कॉंग्रेस समस्त कॉलोनीवासीयों को लेकर इसका डट कर विरोध करेगी ।

Sh. Davesh Moudgil, Mayor of Chandigarh accompanied by MCC councilors and officers namely Sh. Anil Kumar Dubey, Sh. Hardeep Singh, Councillors, Sh. Manoj Kumar Bansal, Chief Engineer, Sh. Sanjay Arora, Superintending Engineer, Sh. Harish Kumar Saini, Executive Engineer, Sh. Amit Sharma, SDE, Public Health Division, MCC visited the site of Phase 5 & 6 water supply project being executed at Kajauli and water works, Jandpur.

  The team inspected the site of Bhakhra Main Line intake wherein it was found that the connection to delivery by GMADA authorities is nearing completion, however, intake connection by irrigation department, Punjab has not yet started at site.They inspected the works Jandpur and the officers informed the Mayor that pipeline has been laid and tested except connection at pump house, Jandpur, pump house civil structure in full swing, panel room structural work, transformer yard and D.G. set completed at site. The Mayor and his team were fully satisfied with the progress and work being executed at site and directed to complete well before 30 May, 2018. It was also directed by the Mayor that a review meeting of all the stakeholders be held within a week. He further asked to review the progress of work with concerned officers of MCC including Chief Engineer daily at 4 pm in his office so as to ensure proper water supply in city.

गाँव दडुआ के निवासियों ने बेहद खस्ताहाल सड़क के सुधार का काम शुरू होने से राहत  की सांस ली है। पंचायत समिति चेयरमैन नानक सिंह, गांव दडुआ से मेंबर पंचायत समिति श्रीमती कमलजीत कौर, उनके पति व भाजपा किसान मोर्चा के प्रदेश महामंत्री सरदार धरमिंदर सिंह आदि ने आज गांव की गली नंबर 1 (गुरुद्वारा साहिब वाली गली) बनाने  के काम का शुभारम्भ किया। ये गाँव की सर्वाधिक प्रयोग में आने वाली सड़क है जोकि पिछले कई वर्षों से सुधार कार्य की बाट जोह रही थी। बरसात के दिनों में तो यहां और भी बुरा हाल होता था। आखिरकार इस सड़क का उद्धार होने जा रहा है। इस अवसर पर भारतीय जनता पार्टी के मंडल अध्यक्ष चमनलाल, पंचायत समिति के पूर्व चेयरमैन शिंगारा सिंह, पंच करण यादव, मंडल अध्यक्ष सोनू, वरिष्ठ नेतागण हरबंस सिंह, बलजीत सिंह सिद्धू, दीपक उनियाल, पुष्कर सिंह नेगी, सूबेदार जे पी राणा व अजय पांडे आदि भी मौजूद थे।

        चंडीगढ़ समस्याओं का भंडार सा बनता दिखाई दे रहा है l चंडीगढ़ की समस्याएं दिन प्रतिदिन बढ़ती जा रही है l शहर में पानी के लिए हाहाकार मचा हुआ है l लोग पानी के लिए तरस रहे हैं, सरकार ने किसी भी प्रकार की वैकल्पिक व्यवस्था नहीं कर रखी है l पानी के टैंकर के लिए बहुत ही कम पूर्ति हो पा रही है l सरकार की जिम्मेदारी बनती है की सुचारू रूप से ऐसी व्यवस्था करके रखनी चाहिए ताकि ये नौबत आने पर तुरन्त पानी की आपूर्ति की जा सके l वहीं दूसरी और दिन - प्रतिदिन शहर की कानून व्यवस्था भी खराब होती जा रही है l छीना - झपटी तो एक आम बात सी हो चुकी है l पुलिस प्रशासन का कर्तव्य लॉ – एंड - ऑर्डर को कायम रखना है l किन्तु पुलिस केवल चालान काटने तक ही व्यस्त हैं l अपना रेवेन्यू बढ़ाने में पुलिस प्रशासन अधिक ध्यान दे रहा है l 

         शहर में बढ़  रहे PG भी चंडीगढ़ के लिए एक समस्या का सबब बन चुके है l अपराधिक गतिविधियों में PG के बच्चे अधिक शामिल हो रहे, लेकिन प्रशासन की तरफ से अभी तक किसी तरह की भी नियमावली पॉलिसी जो PG के लिए हो, नहीं बनाई गई है l चंडीगढ़ की जनता अपनी दर्द भरी दासता सुनाएं तो किसको सुनाएं l प्रशासनिक अधिकारी सुनते नहीं, उनके पास तो वक्त ही नहीं है, उनका व्यवहार अशोभनीय है, राजनेता जो जनता के प्रतिनिधि बने हुए हैं, चुनाव के समय तो बड़े-बड़े वायदे करके जो पार्षद, सांसद जनता की आवाज सुनने के लिए चुने गए, लेकिन वह जनता का दर्द व उनकी समस्याएं सुनने के लिए उनके पास वक्त बिल्कुल है ही नहीं l 

      चंडीगढ़ के सांसद से कोई भी व्यक्ति, कोई भी नागरिक फोन करके मिलने तक का समय नहीं ले सकता l ना उनके पास जनता का दर्द सुनने का समय है, ना शायद उनकी इच्छा है, हर सुविधा सरकार की तरफ से उनको मुहैया करवाई गई है l चंडीगढ़ के प्रशासक से कोई भी आम व्यक्ति अपनी दास्तां, अपना दर्द, अपनी समस्याएं लेकर जाए तो भेंट करने का समय मिलना नामुमकिन है l लोकतांत्रिक देश की इस व्यवस्था में जिसके पास पद - अथॉरिटी आ गई है , वह अपने को  राजा - महाराजा की तरह मानने लग जाता है वह साधारण जनता से दूरी बनाकर रहना पसंद करता है l प्रशासनिक अफसरों को, जनता के प्रतिनिधियों को अपने कर्तव्य का एहसास कब होगा ?. इसका इंतजार करते बरसों बीत चुके हैं l जनता का यह रोष एक दिन महा-आक्रोश में बदल कर कहीं क्रांति की ज्वाला में ना बदल जाए l इससे पहले अफसरशाही और राजनेताओं को वक्त रहते संभलना होगा l

Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) urged Centre Government to release the share of Punjab of Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) so that SC students could continue with their studies. A meeting of office bearers of PUCA under the leadership of President Dr. Anshu Kataria was held recently to express the concern over non release of Scholarship. Sh. Amit Sharma, Senior Vice President, PUCA while speaking said that around 32% of the entire population belongs to the SC in Punjab and around 9 lac SC Students are studying under the PMS Scheme. S. Gurfateh Singh Gill, Vice President, PUCA said that a total of Rs 1,673.24 Crore is due towards the Centre Government out of which for the year 2015-2016 a sum of Rs 328.72 crore and for the year 2016-2017 Rs 719.52 crore and for the Year 2017-18 Rs 625 Crore is due towards the Centre Government. CA, Manmohan Garg, Finance Secretary, PUCA said that due to the non release of PMS funds, more than hundreds of good colleges accounts have been declared as Non Performing Assets (NPA) and banks have started the process for proceedings for taking possession and Auction. S. Gurpreet Singh, General Secretary, PUCA said that  how a College can offer free studies to a student when Government has not released funds for last 2-3 years
