OZ CGC Junior Training Program 1^st Golf Championship

Chandigarh Golf Club today conducted the OZ  Group Chandigarh Golf Club Junior Training Programme 1^st Golf Championship presented by Castle Sports which was the brainchild of Chandigarh Golf Club President Mr Birinder Singh Gill as part of the Junior Training Programme.

    Almost 121 young boys and girls aged 2 to 18 from Panchkula Golf Club, SEPTA Chandimandir , CGA Golf Range, Mohali Golf Range, Bahadurgarh Greens Golf Club and  hosts Chandigarh Golf Club participated in this 1^st tournament of the series. The series will be 5 Tournaments with a Grande Finale in February 2019. The Championship was conducted as per the IGU List of Junior and Sub Junior Categories A,B,C,D,E,F along with qualified referees .Gurbazz Singh age 22 months  was the youngest participant in the Cat F Putting competition, The entry  fees of the Championship was a reasonable rupees 300 only. Mr Birinder Singh Gill, President of Chandigarh Golf Club was the Chief Guest and gave away the prizes to the winners. In category E Girs Mahika Garg was the winner, Anahita runners-up and Samaya Khunder second runners-up. In category E Boys Rannvijay Gill was the winner, Ayushman Garg runners-up and Kanav Kaipla second runners up In category D Girls Niyati Dhillon won leaving Ananya Saini and Anaya Pahwa at the runners-up and second runners-up position respectively. In category D Boys Waris Khamboj took the pole position, Ajayveer singh the second place and Jai Gupta the third spot. 

     In category C Girls Manya Saini was the winner, Jia Kataria the runners-up and Vibhi Chadha the second runners-up. In category C Boys Vasu Sehgal won leaving Jujhar Singh and Ayaan Gupta at the runners-up and second runners-up position respectively.

   In category B Girls Heena Kang was declared the winner whereas Puneet Kaur Bajwa was the runners up and Mehar Nijhar was the second runners-up. In category B Boys Aditya Sood took first place, Parteet Sekhon the second place and Aadit Garg the third place.

  Khivi Kaur was the winner in category A Girls. In category A Boys Harmanbir Singh Bajwa took the pole position, Bismadpal Singh the runners-up  and Mandaar Prashar the second runners-up position. 

     In the putting competition Ojaswani Shreswal was the winner and Mriganka Singla the runners-up in the Girls category. In the Boys category Rehan Singh won, Shantanu Bhandari came second and Zorawar Singh finished third.

    In the Girls Nearest-to-Pin contest Mahika Garg won in category E, Ananya Phwa in category D, Charvi Vaid in category C, Sakshi Mehta in category B and Khivi Kaur in category A.

    In the Boys Nearest-to-Pin contest Aryan Partap Singh won in category E, Manveer Singh in category D, Ayaan Gupta in category C, Pratham Sawant in category B and Bishwarpal Singh in category A.
