   The three days seminar jointly organized by  National Association of Psychological Science, India and Departments of Psychology and Anthropology, Panjab University, Chandigarh Kick started here today. Dr. Roshan Lal, conference Director welcomed the dignitaries. Dr..Saamdu Chetri, Visiting Faculty, IIT Kharagpur delivered Key Note Addresses focusing on happiness and wellbeing.. His main focus of the lecture was about the developmental model: GDP versus Happiness and Peace. Dr. Dean (popularly known as Dean of Peace) conducted workshop on Anger management, specially designed for school teachers and students. He highlighted that Anger among students are the root of ill thinking among them.The chief guest  Prof. Shankarji Jha, Dean University Instruction, Panjab University delivered his Inaugural address on health and happiness. He cited many quotations from Sanskrit literature and mentioned about health and well being from  Indian perspectives. 
      Dr. D. M. Basnet, Founder President, World Without Anger delivered his talks and highlighted the journey of  Happiness and wellbeing. Prof Nasreen Wadud Sharif, president, South Asian Association of Psychologists shared her views and announced that Dr, Roshan Lal of Psychology Dept Panjab  University, Chandigarh would be the President of South Asian Association of Psychologists and  said next South Asian psychology event would be organized in India, under his leadership. Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Kewal Krishan, Chairperson, Department of Anthropology, Panjab University. The function was attended by International and National delegates. The International delegates from Bangladesh (13), Ethipia 03, Nepal 05, USA 02, Iran 04, Srilanka 03 and one each from France and Malaysia. Around 600 delegates from different states of India attended the inaugural function. Around 5774 research scholars and academicians will share their academic vies of their experts areas.
