The 6th edition of Chandigarh Literary Society’s annual premier literary event, Literati 2018, shall be held on 17-18 November at the Lake Club. The two days literary festivities shall feature noted authors, Bollywood directors, writers, lyricists and story telling worshops, besides evening cultural programmes. Literati 2018 shall be kicked off with noted Bollywood Indian film and theatre actor, music director, lyricist, singer and scriptwriter Piyush Mishra in conversation with CLS Chairperson Dr Sumita Misra, IAS, in the session ‘Kuch Ishq Kiya, Kuch Kaam Kiya’ Harinder Sikka of Raazi fame would share his journey from ‘Calling Sehmat to Raazi’, while another best-selling author Preeti  Shenoy would be talking about ‘Breaking the Rules’. Another interesting session would be ‘Sarkari Perspective’ with Deepak Gupta, MG Devashayam and IPS officer and author Gurjot Kaler as moderatopr. Keshav Aneet, Ajay Pandey, Devanshi Sharma and Sonia Shandilya would discuss ‘Love Bug Bites’ and ‘Stripping the Comic’ shall have Aabid Surti, Rishi Kumar and Chetna Kheer exploring the literature in lighter vein. Famous writer Vineet Bajpai along with Aditya Iyengar, Anuja Chandramouli shall be taling about ‘From Myth to Mythology’ in the last session. A popular play, ‘Halala’ of Bhagwandass Morwal’s musical classic shall be held at the Tagore Theatre. British Council will be holding a worshop on story telling which Jaishree Sethi would be conducting on second day. Attractions on the second day include world-renowned motivational speaker Shiv Khera, author and public intellectual Gurcharan Dass, Siddhartha Giggo, festival director of the New York Indian Film Festival Aseem Chhabra would be attraction on second day morning session. Panjabi Session would have Jaani, Shamsher Sandhu, Masha aur and Charan Lihari, while The Balancing Act will have Gita Aravamudan and Prachi Garg in conversation with Sagunja Jain. Leadership spekaers and trainers Vivek Atray, Anisha Motwani, and Vineet Bajpai would focus on motivational aspects with author Suditi Jindal. The evening session would have an interesting Urdu storytelling performance, Dastaan Goi.
