A girl who went missing for last one year and
four months from district Ambala, was reunited with her family by Anti Human
Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of Haryana Police Crime Branch. While
stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that a team of
AHTU comprising Sub-Inspector Mukesh Rani and Constable Kavita had contacted
Rose Udayan Home, Delhi and requested the Institute operator to inform if any
child from Haryana is staying in their institute. On this, it was informed
that a girl from Ambala has been staying in their institute for a long time.
They also told that family of the missing child works at a brick-kiln. After getting clue, the team enquired about the missing girl at
all the brick-kilns located at Barwala, Sahzadpur and Raipur Rani area. A
person at Kakadmajra informed that a girl is missing from Baljit’s brick-kiln.
Later on, girl’s photo was shared through whatsapp and subsequently the girl
was identified by her father. After a detailed investigation and completing the
required formalities, the girl was handed over to her father with the direction
of Child Welfare Committee, Ambala. The family members of
the girl also expressed gratitude to the Police in reuniting her with the family.
