WITH THE FACULTY OF CENTRE FOR CNSNT

University Vice-Chancellor (VC), Prof Raj Kumar, in a meeting with the faculty
of Centre for Nanoscience & Nanotechnology (CNSNT) on the thrust area
research carried out at the Centre, stressed upon the need of developing
collaborations with international institutes and industrial partnership. Prof
Shankarji Jha, Dean, University Instructions, Prof Ramanjit Johal, Prof. Jagat
Bhusan, Prof Navdeep Goyal, Prof. Sarbjeet Singh, along with the faculty of
CNSNT (Dr. Sunil Arora, Dr. Jadab Sharma and Dr. Akash Katoch) were present in
the meeting. The centre’s faculty gave presentations about the courses offered,
thrust areas, research outcomes, and international collaborations during the
interaction. The CNSNT, currently offers
M. Tech. and Ph. D. program in the area of nanoscience and nanotechnology.
Current focus of the research is on development of functional nanomaterials for
memory, sensing and energy applications. The CNSNT has collaboration with a
number of national and international research Institutes of repute. It also
have MoUs for research collaboration with Institute of Nano Science &
Technology-Mohali and Saitama University, Japan.
