One arrested under NDPS Act Crime Branch of
Chandigarh Police arrested Lakhan Chopra R/o # 3273, Sector-27/D,
Chandigarh backside wine shop, Sector-27, Chandigarh and recovered 12
gram Heroin from his possession on 24.02.2019. A case FIR No. 40, U/S 21 NDPS
Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in
progress.Dowry A lady resident of
Sector-14, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of New
Delhi harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 39, U/S 406,
498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation
of case is in progress. A lady resident of Sector-22/D, Chandigarh alleged that
her husband & others resident of Sector-5, Distt.-Panchkula, Haryana
harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 40, U/S 406, 498-A
IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of
case is in progress. A lady resident of Phase-1, Industrial Area, Chandigarh
alleged that her husband
& others resident of Sector-38/A, Chandigarh harassed complainant to bring
more dowry. A case FIR No. 41, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered
in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress. Robbery Kuldeep Mishra R/o # 752,
Phase-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh reported that 5 unknown persons robbed away
complainant’s mobile phone and cash Rs.10/- near # 2332, Phase-2, Ramdarbar,
Chandigarh on knife point on 24.02.2019. A case FIR No. 71, U/S 395 IPC
has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in
progress. Burglary Vivek Kumar R/o # 85,
Sector-28/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away
complainant’s cash Rs. 10,000 to 12,000/- & metal items from his
shop Himalaya Coal depot, Sector-28/D, Chandigarh after breaking locks on night
intervening 23/24.02.2019. A case FIR No. 39, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been
registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Pawan Kumar R/o # 1680, Phase-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh reported that
unknown person stolen away complainant’s 01 mobile phone, 02 gold tikka, 01
gold chain, 02 gold rings, 01 pair gold earrings, 02 silver bangles, 01 pair
pendant, cash Rs. 2,000/- from complainant’s residence after
breaking locks on night intervening 23/24.02.2019. A case FIR No. 72, U/S 457,
380 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of
the case is in progress. Missing/Kidnapped A case FIR No. 53, U/S
363 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of a person
resident of Village-Burail, Chandigarh who reported that his daughter age about
13 years has been missing near her residence since 23.02.2019. Investigation of
the case is in progress. Accident A case FIR No. 448,
U/S 279, 337, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the
complaint of Tejinder Singh R/o # 2432/A, Sector-39/C,
Chandigarh against driver of activa scooter No.
CH-01BF-1627 namely Sahil R/o # 1447, Sector-39/B,
Chandigarh who hit to complainant’s father scooter No.
PB-65-0539 near Sector-39/40 light point,
Chandigarh on 04.02.2019. Complainant’s father namely Nirmal Singh
R/o # 2432/A, Sector-39/C, Chandigarh got injured and admitted in
GH-16, Chandigarh. Later refer to PGI, Chandigarh where he expired during
treatment. Investigation of the case is in progress.
