The Governor of Punjab and Administrator, U.T., Chandigarh, Sh. V.P. Singh Badnore today launched a Health App “KnowMyHealth” developed by M/s DejaVu Health Technology Solution in presence of Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, IAS, Principal Secretary Health, Sh. Sanjay Beniwal, IPS, Director General of Police, Sh. Prem Bhandari of M/s DejaVu Health Technology Solution; and Dr. G. Dewan, Director Health Services-cum-Mission Director NHM. This app would be helpful in lifelong storage of patient health record across all health institutions both in Government as well as of Private sector. The app can be downloaded by any patient and health profile can be uploaded by both the patients through app or through the integration of patient data by the concerned hospital. The app would be useful to the patients as they would not have to carry medical reports or prescriptions physically and can show these records in the soft form while consulting any medical practitioner. The management information system reports generated by the system can be useful to the government in preventive care localized in a specific geographical area and even curative care can be targeted timely to the affected localized population. The health institutions would be able to share the health data of patients only after specific consent of the patient. The worldwide launch of this app has been done from Chandigarh and it would be extended to other parts subsequently. Since the medical history of the patients will be stored in this app, it will be beneficial for the medical experts to have complete review of the patient’s record in less-time while providing further medication, which will subsequently improve the quality in care. Patients can also utilise the help and guide features of this app for better knowledge of healthcare. The app will also facilitate voice based uploading of medical information and search feature subsequently.
