PLACEMENT DRIVE AT HOME SCIENCE COLLEGE

A campus Placement Drive was organized by Amazon, a global
leader in e commerce in collaboration with placement cell of Government Home
Science College for undergraduate students. More than 100 students
registered for this on campus placement drive out of which 50 students
were shortlisted and 6 students were given offer letters in profile
of Work From Home with the salary packages of Rs. 1,56,580-
Rs. 1,75,875. It provided an opportunity to the students to work in corporate
world of e-commerce. Students had to go through rigorous selection criterion.
Screening tests included a lecture round which analysed the communication
skills of the students, later part considered of the the Pearson Versant
test which comprised of four rounds and the last round included calling
round in which students attended the calls of three callers. The aim
was to analyze the problem solving skills of the students. Students felt
enthusiastic and gained confidence as it was their first ever interview for a
job placement. It was a proud moment for both the students and the college. Principal
of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal, congratulated the students and encouraged
them to participate enthusiastically in campus Placement Drives as they help
the students to continuously evolve and expand their focus into new business
domains.
