University, Chandigarh – under the aegis of Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya
National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT), Ministry of Human Resource
Development, Government of India – is organising seven days’ workshop
on ‘Inclusion: Making it happen’ from 11th to 17th March, 2019. On
the sixth day, Ms. Ruchika Sachdev, Principal, Primary Wing, Mount
Litera School International, Mumbai and Ms. Suzanne Rodricks, Phase Head
Foundation Stage & Lower Primary, Dubai Scholar Private School, Dubai
conducted hands on training and activities on developing the lesson plans.
They discussed the barriers in the teaching learning process and suggested
pragmatic strategies to apply in classroom settings. They suggested for
the incorporation of cross curriculum linkages in the lesson plan. They
emphasized on differentiating instruction, keeping in mind the
multiple intelligence. They used real life experiences on different subjects
to differentiate between learning objectives and learning outcomes. They
explained different strategies for assessment of learning outcomes of a
child. They specially emphasized that the leaning outcomes can be defined
on the basis of content, process, product and learning environment.
Overall sessions were interesting and interactive. The enthusiasm and
the energy of the participants made the workshop a success.
