The
1st Panchkula Golf Club Junior Golf Championship was played at the
Panchkula Golf Club on 23rd April, Tuesday. About 90 participants were
seen swinging in the hot conditions to win the top honours in each category. In
category F Girls Putting, Sudhiksha Gulati won the trophy and Nitara Mahajan
who has just started golf a week ago finished runners-up in the same category. In
category F Boys Putting, Amar Veer Trehan won the top spot leaving Abram Chawla
in the runners-up position and Oliver Smid finishing second runners-up. In
category E Girls Putting, Ojaswi Mahajan came first and Abhishrisar Jolta
finished second in the same category. In category E Boys Putting, Runah Singh
Chauhan won leaving Kairav and Jaiveer Singh Kang in the runners-up and second
runners-up position respectively. In category D Girls Kaashvi Bajaj was the
winner (93) and Lailianan Swidova (103) finished runners-up. In category D Boys
Mahir Sharma (75) won this category and Krish Chwala (77) finished runners-up
and Deon Sia Pao (79) finished Second Runners-up In category C Girls Ceerat
Kang (79) won the trophy and Shrestha Shukla (89) finished runners-up. In
category C Boys Abhimanyu Pargal (80) was the winner leaving Ajay Kumar (82) in
the runners-up position and Samar Pratap Singh (83) in the second runners-up
position. In category B Girls Hazel Chauhan (76) took pole position
and Sakshi Mehta (88) came second. In category B Boys Parteet Singh Sekhon shot
a 75 to win this category and the overall Championship Winner. Harshit Khatri
(76) and Arjun singh Bhatia (76) finished runners-up and second runners-up
respectively In category A Girls Heena Kang (77) and Karya R Pao (79) finished
first and second respectively. In category A Boys Divyansh Dubey (76) won,
Akashdeep Singh (78) came runners-up and Chaksh Aryan Singh (81) finished
second runners-up. Col. AS Dhillon, General Manager of PGC and Mrs. Param
Shergill, sponsor of this event gave away the prizes to the winners.
