The Admission Counselling for four courses of Indo-Swiss
Training Centre (ISTC), i.e. 4-year Advanced Diploma in Mechatronics, 4-Year
Advanced Diploma in Die & Mould Making, 3-Year Diploma in Mechanical
Engineering (Tool and Die) and 3-Year Diploma in Electronics Engineering with a
total intake of 140 seats for the session 2019-2020 was held at ISTC, CSIR-CSIO
on 24th and 25th July 2019. The first 140
students according to the merit of the entrance exam were invited to attend the
counselling on 24th July 2019. The students belonging to OBC,
SC and ST were invited to attend the counselling on 25th July
2019. The 4-year Advanced Diploma programs in Mechatronics and Die & Mould
Making continued to remain the first choice of the students. It is worth
mentioning that as many as approx 924 candidates appeared in the ISTC entrance
test which was held in Chandigarh on July 7, 2019. The ISTC courses are well in
demand because of the commitment of the Institute towards high quality and
engaged practical training. ISTC has tremendous strengths that provide a
powerful platform for the students to excel in Industry. The Courses are
designed in such a manner so as to make the student Industry-ready. The same
can be witnessed by the fact that many reputed organizations like Fanuc, KUKA, Honda, Exicom
Telesystems Ltd, Steel Strip Wheels Ltd, Micron, Groz-Beckert, Encon Systems,
Molson Coors, Brain Domain, Godrej, BN HiTech, X –Vision Healthcare, Banbros
Engg Pvt Ltd., Bajaj, Sany Heavy Industry and Addverb technologiesvisited ISTC for campus placements in the
current year
