Chandigarh police Registered many cases

One arrested for consuming liquor at public place: One case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh against a person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place  near Kerosene Pump, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on 19.03.2020. Later he was released on bail.

 Action against Gambling

Chandigarh Police arrested Vipin Kumar R/o # 306, Pipli Wala Town, Mani Majra, Chandigarh while he was playing satta near Kala Dhabha, TPT Area, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 19-03-2020. Total cash Rs. 1980/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 52, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for Robbery

A case FIR No. 29, U/S 392, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Kishanveer Yadav R/o Bansal Marble Shop, near Community Center, Dhanas, Chandigarh who reported that four unknown persons robbed away mobile phone and purse containing 16,900/- from complainant at road near his shop on 19.03.2020. Three boys ran away but one boy namely Lalit R/o # 715/A, EWS Colony, Dhanas, age about 19 years apprehended on the spot. Investigation of case is in progress.

Cheating

Ram Pal R/o Haryana Roadways Office, ISBT, Sector-17, Chandigarh reported that unknown person called on his mobile phone regarding increasing credit limit of his SBI credit card on 18.01.2019. He asked for OTP number sent on complainant’s mobile phone and withdrawn Rs. 9999/- from his SBI card. A case FIR No. 48, U/S 420, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress. 

A lady resident of Sector-42, Chandigarh alleged that unknown person called on complainant’s mobile phone and cheated Rs 667000/- regarding providing/sending gift via parcel. A case FIR No. 57, U/S 420, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Criminal Breach of Trust

Ashok Kumar R/o # 345, Kirti Nagar, Ferozepur (PB) alleged that parking contractor Surender Kumar R/o # 34/B, Hari Nagar, Mundian Kalan, Ludhiana (PB) and his worker Rinku, Durgesh Chand Shukla and Goldy had taken keys of complainant’s Mahindra Scorpio No. PB-30P-8617 to park the vehicle at paid parking, B-Block, PGI, Chandigarh on 16.03.2020. After some time when complainant returned, the said vehicle was not there and stolen by someone from parking area. Complainant alleged that the vehicle was stolen due to intention of alleged person. A case FIR No. 48, U/S 406, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Burglary

Gajender Kumar R/o # 275, Gurdev Nagar, Zirakpur (PB) reported that unknown person stole away electricity material, wires copper strip, MCCB , MCB etc from complainant’s factory at Plot No. 939-941, Ph-2, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on night intervening 18/19-03-2020. A case FIR No. 42, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

MV Theft

A girl resident of Ph-10, Mohali (PB) reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. HR-02AC-6350 parked near Library, Sector-34, Chandigarh on 13-03-2020. A case FIR No. 45, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
