BHAVANS OLD STUDENTS ORGANIZE 2ND COVID VACCINATION CAMP

ADMINISTER OVER 200 FREE DOSES

Bhavan Old Student Society (BOSS), with the support of Chandigarh Administration organised its second Covid vaccination drive at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27 Chandigarh today, administering much needed vaccines to the public. The event was inaugurated by Shri. R. K Saboo, Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Chandigarh; Special guest Shri Yashanjit SinghIRTS graced this well-organized event along with Secretary Mr. Madhukar MalhotraSenior Principal Ms. Vineeta AroraVice Principal Ms. Suparna Bansal and Principal Junior School Ms. Soma Mukhopadyay were also present. Over 200 doses of the vaccine were administered in this well-ordered camp, while adhering to all social distancing and sanitization protocols, masks and mandatory medical check-up. The camp also provided a resting area for those who had come to take the jab. BOSS President Mr.Vinay Aggarwal and Vice President Ms. Richa Gupta put together the event with the help of other BOSS members who volunteered for the event. Chairman Shri R.K Saboo complimented the BOSS team for this noble endeavour.Ms. Vineeta Arora, Senior Principal also appreciated and thanked the BOSS members for organizing the event. Earlier too, BOSS had conducted a vaccination drive in the month of June where over 500 people were vaccinated. With the overwhelming response to the event, BOSS conducted the second drive today. BOSS has conducted numerous outreach programmes during Covid times. These include creation of a COVID -19 helpline, donation of PPE kits, rations to the needy at Bapu Dham Colony, chocolates to Corona warriors among other endeavours. Their recent attempt towards fulfilment of their obligation towards the society is KOSHISH that provides financial aid to patients, who need medical help and invasive procedures like heart surgery. In the recent, turbulent times, the organization truly stands by its commitment towards the betterment of society.
