Cracking The Whip On The Drug Suppliers And Paddlers, The Crime Branch Team Under The Supervision Of Dy.S P Crime, Consisting Of Inspector / Incharge Harinder Singh Sekhon, Inspector Ashok Kumar And Others Got A Major Success By Busting A Medical Store / Godown Owner’s Racket Of Supplying Psychotropic Substances (Drugs) In Garb Of Medical Store From Sarangpur, U.T, Chandigarh And One Harjit Singh S/O Sh. Sudesh Pal Singh R/O Vill. Parach Mullapur, SAS Nagar, Mohali, Pb. Aged 30 Years Owner Of Shakumbri Medical Agency Was Arrested With Huge Haul Of Drug Being Supplied In Tricity. On 24.8.2021 Secret Information Regarding Illegal Drug Sale Purchase Was Received At Crime Branch And Same Was Passed To Dy.SP Crime Branch. A Team Of Crime Branch Insp Crime Harinder Singh Sekhon, Insp Ashok Kumar And Other Police Officials Prepared And Briefed. Drug Insp. Amit Duggal Also Joined In The Team. One Person Harjit Singh S/O Sudesh Pal Singh R/O Vill. Parch Mullanpur, Mohali Who Was Running Shakumbri Medical Agency, Plot No. 4/1, Talwar Complex, Sarangpur U.T, Chandigarh Was Apprehended.  Dy.SP Crime Sh. Udaypal Singh On Call Reached Spot And Search Was Conducted In The Presence Of Dy.SP Crime Adopting Proper Procedure. 20 Bottles Codectuss TR (100 Ml) Codeine And 2 Boxes (200 Tablets, 100 Mg) OL Tram Tramadol Hydrochloride Were Recovered. Further Search Of Store At First Floor Of Building (Plot No. 4/1, Talwar Complex, Sarangpur, UT Chandigarh) Was Carried Out In The Presence Of Drug Inspector And Dy.SP Crime By Adopting Proper Procedure And During Search 720 Tablets Of Alprozolam (0.5 Mg), 5620 Tablets Of Tramadol (100 Mg) & 2 Bottles Of Codectuss TR (100 Ml) Codeine Syrup Were Recovered.  Consequently, Case FIR No. 85 Dated 24.8.2019 U/S 22 NDPS Act, PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh Was Registered Against Harjit Singh Who Could Not Produce Any Sale Purchase Bills. From The Preliminary Interrogation, It Revealed That Accused Had Procured This Haul Of Psychotropic Substance From Dehradun And Gwalior And Earing Easy Money By Selling  At 10 Times Higher To Consumers In The Tricity.
