एमसीएम डीएवी कॉलेज फॉर वीमेन, चंडीगढ़ के इंटरनल क्वालिटी अश्योरेंस सेल (आईक्यूएसी) ने कॉलेज के स्टाफ मेम्बर्स के लिए भावनात्मक स्वतंत्रता तकनीक (इमोशनल फ्रीडम टेक्निक ) पर एक प्रशिक्षण कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया। जीएमएसएच -16, चंडीगढ़ के मनोचिकित्सा विभाग के प्रमुख डॉ.विजय गिरधर ने 30 फैकल्टी सदस्यों की उत्साहपूर्ण भागीदारी के साथ इस ज्ञानवर्धक एवं लाभकारी कार्यशाला का संचालन किया। दो गहन सत्रों में विभाजित इस कार्यशाला का उद्देश्य प्रतिभागियों को इस कौशल प्रक्रिया से अवगत कराना था जो नकारात्मक भावनाओं को दूर करने में सहायता करती है । पहले सत्र में डॉ गिरधर ने ईएफटी या टैपिंग थेरेपी जो कि एक यूनिवर्सल हीलिंग टूल है इसका शारीरिक कष्ट के साथ साथ भावनात्मक चुनौतियों के समाधान में इसकी भूमिका पर प्रकाश डाला एवं एक्यूपंक्चर जैसी पारंपरिक चिकित्सा से भी भावनात्मक चुनौतियों को दूर करने की तकनीकों के बारे में बताया । ईएफटी के मूल नुस्खे के पांच चरणों की व्याख्या करते हुए डॉ.गिरधर ने पर्याप्त प्रासंगिक उदाहरणों के साथ सत्र को पूरक बनाया। दूसरे सत्र के दौरान विशेषज्ञ ने भाषा के महत्व पर जोर दिया और फिर एक अभ्यास प्रक्रिया के माध्यम से ईएफटी का प्रदर्शन किया इसके बाद प्रतिभागियों ने स्वयं पर ईएफटी के माध्यम से अपने जीवन के मुख्य पहलुओं पर इस अभ्यास किया। प्रिंसिपल डॉ निशा भार्गव ने आईक्यूएसी की इस पहल की सराहना की और कहा कि वर्तमान समय में तनाव और अन्य मुद्दों को देखते हुए यह जरूरी है कि व्यक्ति खुद को ऐसी तकनीकों सीखे जिसके द्वारा उनका जीवन सरल एवं खुशहाल रहे । उन्होंने कहा कि एमसीएम इस तरह के प्रयासों के माध्यम से अपने विभिन्न हितधारकों का समग्र विकास सुनिश्चित करना चाहता है ।

‘Business Club’ of Dev Samaj College for Women, Sector-45/B, Chandigarh held a declamation contest and the Chief Guest on the occasion were Prof. S.K Chadha Ji, Former Chairman, UBS, Panjab University. The club also held an investiture ceremony wherein the office-bearers of the club were honored with the badges. Later, a declamation contest on the current raging topics was held. The topics were ‘Crypto currency’ ‘Free Trade-A Myth’, ‘Women are better leader than men’ and ‘Artificial Intelligence’. Shubhi of B.Com - IInd year was adjudged as the winner who spoke on the topic ‘Crypto currency’. Prof. S.K Chadha conducted an interactive session with the students and taught them the ‘Mantras of Success’. He advocated that ‘SMART’ goals should be set which ultimately would pave the way for success in the future. Faith in oneself, positive outlook towards life, gratitude towards the institution and the service towards the society were a few traits that he delved on, in his inspirational speech. He also motivated the faculty members to impart practical training to the students as it is the need of the hour. Third International Conference on Sarasvati River will be organized by Panjab University(PU), Chandigarh in collaboration with Haryana Sarasvati Heritage Development Board, Panchkula (Haryana) on  8^th and 9^th February,2019, with the aim to revisit and comprehend Indian civilization, which developed in and around river Sarasvati, informed Prof. Anju Suri, Chairperson, Department of History, PU. The historical literature along with archeological, scientific studies and techniques help in reviving river Sarasvati, which originated in Himalaya and passed through Haryana, Rajasthan, Sindh and Bhawalpur before descending in Rann of Kutch. The significance of River Sarasvati  in  Indian civilization is the central theme of the conference. The conference would further focus on the origin, journey, relevance and disappearance of the river Sarasvati and on agricultural practices essential for sustainability of life. The conference will take into consideration the archaeological evidence and recent explorations along Sarasvati river Palaeochannel. The rejuvenation of river Sarasvati which is very pertinent issue to be addressed today shall also be discussed during the course of conference. The cumulative knowledge of different disciplines of social sciences throwing light on the history of river Sarasvati on Indian civilization will be discussed in various technical sessions of the conference.

सन्त निरंकारी मिशन के 18,770 श्रद्धालु भक्तों द्वारा बनाई गई रोशन-मीनार की सबसे बड़ी मानव आकृति को गिनीज़ बुक ऑफ वर्ल्ड रिकार्डस में दर्ज कर लिया गया है। मिशन को यह सूचना गिनीज़ बुक  की रिकार्ड मेनेजमेंट टीम द्वारा भेजी गई ई-मेल से प्राप्त हुई है जिसमें कहा गया है कि –’’हमें यह सूचित करते हुए अति प्रसन्नता हो रही है कि आपके द्वारा सबसे बड़ी रोशन मीनार की मानव आकृति का आवेदन सफल रहा है और अब आप गिनीज़ वर्ल्ड रिकार्ड होल्डर बन गये हैं। अतः आपको गिनीज़ वर्ल्ड रिकार्ड का प्रमाण पत्र भी दिया जा रहा है ।’’ चण्डीगढ सन्त निरंकारी मण्डल के मीडिया सहायक ने बताया कि यह जानकारी श्रीमति राजकुमारी जी मैम्बर इंचार्ज सन्त निरंकारी मण्डल पै्रस एण्ड पब्लिसिटी दिल्ली ने प्रैस विज्ञप्ति द्वारा दी । यह वर्ल्ड रिकार्ड कार्यक्रम 17 नवम्बर, 2018 को सद्गुरु माता सुदीक्षा जी महाराज की दिव्य उपस्थिति में सन्त निरंकारी आध्यात्मिक स्थल, जी.टी.रोड, समालखा में आयोजित किया गया था।इसे मिशन के पूर्व सद्गुरु माता सविंदर हरदेव जी महाराज को समर्पित किया गयाजो यह चाहते थे कि प्रत्येक निरंकारी भक्त एक प्रकाश स्तम्भ बने और ईश्वरीय ज्ञान के उजाले को विश्व के कोने-कोने तक फैलाये । इस रोशन मीनार की मानव आकृति में भाग लेने के लिये निरंकारी भक्त देश भर से आये थे। उनकी आयु 18 से 65 वर्ष निर्धारित की गई थी। कुछ भक्तों ने दूर देशों से आकर भी भाग लिया। इन सभी का पंजीकरण पहले ही कर लिया गया था। कुल मिलाकर लगभग 25,000 भक्तों ने अपना नाम दर्ज कराया था । इस मानव आकृति में भाग लेने वाले सभी सदस्य प्रातः 7.00 बजे से ही एकत्रित हो गए। प्रत्येक सदस्य को प्रबंधकों की ओर से भिन्न-भिन्न रंगों की पोशाक दी गई जो उसके स्थान के अनुसार निर्धारित की गई थी। इस मानव आकृति में कुल 5 रंग थे और यह पोशाक हर सदस्य के लिए अपने पहले से पहने हुए वस्त्रों के ऊपर पहनने के लिए थी। इस मानव आकृति को बनाने के लिए लगभग 5 घण्टे का समय लगा ।

The Prestigious Indo French workshop under the banner of Indo French Center, which is created jointly by the Department of Science and Technology, Govt of India and  Ministry of External and Culture Affairs, Govt. of France  concluded today after brain storming sessions during last three days. During the three day workshop, various noted and eminent scientists spoke on the topics of Nuclear Physics. The prominent speakers included Prof. Joerg Aichelin from Nantes, France, Prof. Christoph Hartnack from France, Prof. Leifels from Germany, Prof. Bratkovskaya from Germany, Prof. Lopez from France, Prof. Napolitani from France. Prof. Rajeev Puri, Chief coordinator of the workshop told that the French and German delegates including the Director of Indo French Center  had series of meetings with Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice- Chancellor, Panjab University(PU). Apart from Physics, another important part was that both French/ German and Indian delegate stressed need for joint collaborative projects. Prof. Rajeev Puri, The Indian Chief Coordinator along with Vice Chancellor Prof. Raj Kumar, Prof. Devender Mehta, Dean Sciences and Prof. Aichelin, French Chief Coordinator will initiate platform for French-Indo and German –Indo MOU and also collaborative projects that will benefit students and faculty of Panjab University. It was further agreed upon to explore the possibility of joint Indo-French Research center at PU  which can be a milestone for the faculty and students of the region. Prof. Puri and Prof Aichelin agreed to also explore possibility for joint Ph.D. Programs with France and India so that students can work in both countries.  It was also discussed to look for the Nuclear Engineering program of the France where M.Sc/ BTech students of PU can participate. The European Union also offers more than 20 Scholarships for Nuclear Engineering programs Prof. Leifel who is head of the many giant projects at GSI, Germany, the world largest facility for Nuclear Physics along with Indian Chief Coordinator, Prof. Puri will explore for possibility of MOU with Panjab University so that local faculty and students  can also work at GSI.   Large number of countries have pumped thousands of crore of rupees in the facility of GSI. This Indo French workshop, which was first of its kind at Panjab University, has set the ball for large research possibilities with initiatives of Prof. Rajeev Puri from Panjab University and Prof. Aichelin from Nantes, France. It is worth mentioning that Prof Rajeev Puri was the first scientists who was awarded Indo French project   worth of Rs. 1 crore in 2012.

चंडीगढ़ ट्रैफिक पुलिस के सहयोग से एमसीएम डीएवी कॉलेज फॉर वीमेन की एनएसएस इकाई ने आज 30 वें राष्ट्रीय सड़क सुरक्षा सप्ताह के तहत एक सड़क सुरक्षा जागरूकता कार्यक्रम और हेलमेट रैली का आयोजन किया । चंडीगढ़ के स्वच्छ भारत की राजदूत श्रीमती.सविता भट्टी ने बतौर मुख्य अतिथि इस कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित थी और चंडीगढ़ एसएसपी (सुरक्षा और यातायात) श्री शशांक आनंद, आईपीएस बतौर विशेष अतिथि उपस्थित थे। दर्शकों को संबोधित करते हुए, श्रीमती भट्टी ने कहा कि यह विडंबना है कि आज की अत्यधिक जागरूक और तकनीकी रूप से उन्नत पीढ़ी जब सड़कों पर अपनी स्वयं की सुरक्षा के लिए लापरवाह है, उन्होंने कहा कि सच्चा कि सच्चा सशक्तिकरण तब है जब हम खुद की सुरक्षा की जिम्मेदारी लेने की साथ साथ दूसरों की सुरक्षा की जिम्मेदारी लें । आज की इस हेलमेट रैली का उद्देश्य आप अपनी सुरक्षा के लिए स्वयं जिम्मेदार है का सन्देश पहुंचाने एवं सड़क सुरक्षा के बारे में छात्राओं को जागरूक करने हेतु एमसीएम द्वारा दिए गए प्रयास की श्री शशांक आनंद ने भरपूर प्रशंसा की एवं उन्होंने छात्राओं से आग्रह किया की वे आगे भी इस संदेश को जन जन तक पहुंचाएं । इस अवसर पर सड़क सुरक्षा के विषय पर संवाद थिएटर ग्रुप द्वारा एक प्रभावशाली नुक्कड़ नाटक का मंचन भी किया गया जिसमे दर्शकों को यातायात नियमों की उपेक्षा के परिणामों को दिखलाने की प्रभावी कोशिश की गयी । कॉलेज के सौ से अधिक छात्राओं ने अपने हेलमेट पहनकर, महिलाओं की सड़क सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने हेतु एवं “हेलमेट पेहनाओ, बेटी बचाओ ” के बहुमूल्य संदेश को फैलाने के लिए अपने दोपहिया वाहनों पर शहर में एक रैली निकली । कॉलेज की प्रिंसिपल डॉ.निशा भार्गव ने सड़कों पर लोगों की सुरक्षा के लिए अधिकारियों द्वारा किए गए प्रयासों की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि हेलमेट नहीं पहनने से सड़क पर कीमती जान माल का नुकसान होता है, यह अत्यावश्यक है कि ड्राइवर ही नहीं बल्कि पीछे बैठे सवार भी हेलमेट पहनें। उन्होंने कहा कि सुरक्षात्मक हेड गियर का उपयोग और अन्य सड़क सुरक्षा नियमों का पालन करना यात्रियों के हित में है और इसका हमें अनुपालन करना चाहिए ।

धनास में “ चंडीगढ़ की आवाज पार्टी (कैप) ” के कार्यकर्ताओं ने आज बड़े ही निराले ढंग से बीजेपी के " भारत के मन की बात, मोदी के साथ" नामक अभियान का मजाक बनाया । चंडीगढ़ की आवाज पार्टी (कैप) ने एक भैंस को बीजेपी और उसके रथ के रूप में दिखाया । भैंसे के गले में  बीजेपी की तख्ती और उसके साइड में बीजेपी का रथ लिखा था। और चंडीगढ़ की आवाज पार्टी (कैप) के कार्यकर्ताओं ने भैंस के आगे बीन बजाई। इसको देखने के लिए बड़ी तादात में लोग शामिल हुए। इस पर चंडीगढ़ आवाज पार्टी के लोक सभा उम्मीदवार अविनाश शर्मा ने कहा कि,"जैसे भैंसे के आगे बीन बजाने से भैंसे को कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता ठीक वैसे ही चंडीगढ़ के बीजेपी को लोगो की राय से कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता। बीजेपी हर चुनाव में यही कहती है कि वो लोगो से सुझाव लेकर काम करेगी मगर सत्ता  में आने के बाद वो जनता की बिल्कुल नहीं सुनती। बीजेपी ने अपने पिछले चुनावी घोषणा पत्र में जो भी कहा था उसके विपरीत काम किया है। उसने मंहगाई घटाने, रोजगार बढ़ाने जैसे मुद्दे के साथ साथ चंडीगढ़ में मेट्रो ट्रेन चलवाने का वादा किया था मगर बीजेपी ने ही इस रद्द करवा दिया और लोग जब अपनी गाड़ियों में अपनी मंजिल पर जाने के आदि हुए तो पार्किंग फरवरी की घोषणा करने वाली बीजेपी ने ही इनको फ्री पार्किंग से पेड पार्किंग में बदल दिया। और रोगों की जेब काटनी शुरू कर दी। इसके इलावा चंडीगढ़ के गावों के लोग चंडीगढ़ नगर निगम में शामिल होने के खिलाफ थे और लोगो से इस मुद्दे पर सुझाव भी मांगे थे परंतु बीजेपी ने इन सुझावों को दरकिनार करते हुए नगर निगम में शामिल करवा दिया। अगर बीजेपी मेट्रो प्रोजेक्ट रद्द करवा सकती है तो क्या बीजेपी चंडीगढ़ के गावों को नगर निगम में शामिल होने से नहीं रोक सकती थी? क्या फ्री पार्किंग को फ्री रखने के लिए आदेश नहीं दे सकती थी? मगर बीजेपी सिर्फ लोगो की समस्या सुनने का नाटक करती है । भाजपा करती अपने मन की है। लोगो द्वारा बीजेपी को अपनी समस्या सुनाना भैंस के आगे बीन बजाने जैसा है। जो आज हमलोग भैंस के आगे बीन बजा रहे है । "यहां ये बताना जरूरी है कि आज ही बीजेपी के चंडीगढ़ लोक सभा के चुनाव प्रभारी कैप्टन अभिमन्यु ने "भारत के मन की बात, मोदी के साथ" नामक अभियान की शुरुआत की है और इस अभियान के तहत बीजेपी एक रथ करीब एक हफ्ते पूरे शहर में घूमकर लोगो सुझाव से सुझाव लेगी और घोषणा पत्र में जगह देने का ड्रामा करेंगी। हर गली मोहल्ले में चंडीगढ़ की आवाज पार्टी लोगों को जागरुक कर शोषण से मुक्ति दिलवाएगी । इस अवसर पर कैप के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष कमल किशोर शर्मा, बौबी मेहता, बंटी सिंह, देवेंदर सिंह, आशीष समेत मोर्चा के अन्य कार्यकर्ता उपस्थित थे |

A Female Helmet Rally as part of 30 th Road Safety Week-2019 being Observed from 4 th to 10 th February 2019 with a theme “Sadak Sureksha Jeevan Raksha ”. The Female Helmet Rally was flagged off at 11.00 AM by Smt. Savita Bhatti w/o Late Sh. Jaspal Singh Bhatti from MCM College, Sec-36, U.T., Chandigarh, wherein about 300 female two wheeler riders participated, which passed through various sectors of U.T., Chandigarh to promote wearing of safety head gear by women while riding on two wheelers. Sh. Shashank Anand, W/SSP/Security & Traffic along with other Officers was also present there. Two hundred helmets were also gifted to female riders for their participation for a noble cause.

Ravi Gharti and Tarushi Gaur students from Emerald Martial Arts Academy bagged the Gold Medal on the 35 th Sub Junior National Taek wondo Championship 2018-2019 organized by Taekwondo Federation of India at Balayogi Indoor Stadium, Gachibowli, Hyderabad, Telangana. The championship was organized from 27th Jan– 2nd Feb 2019, where 1000 students participated from 30 States and Union Territories. Tarushi Gaur, who participated in the Under 24 kgs Category, bagged Gold after defeating the last year Gold Medalist. On the other hand Ravi Gharti clinched Gold twice in a row this year (2018 – 19) in the Under 38 kgs category & last year (2017 – 18) in the Under 32 kgs category. Master Shiv Raj Gharti, 5^th Dan Black Belt gave the information to the media that Tarushi Gaur and Ravi Gharti have been training for more than 4 yrs and it is indeed a proud moment for him and the entire Emerald Family. Emerald academy wishes to see both the players representing India in World Championships & Olympic level.
