The need to introduce and develop habit of recycling ought to be promoted on a massive scale, especially amongst our younger generation. Over exploitation of our natural resources have brought us to a point where we no longer can ignore environmentally sustainable lifestyle. Recycling is perhaps the way forward in this regard. Stepping Stones has, since the past couple of years entered into a collaborative programme with “Anadee Recycled Paper Products” founded by Ms. Anju Gupta. This is an initiative for Paper Recycling Awareness Campaign. This organisation deals with wood free, Agro based recycled paper products dedicated to nature and in the process, teach children about conserving our natural resources. Each month, on a specified day, children contribute scrap paper, magazines or newspaper in exchange for stationery in the form of notebooks, chart paper, paper pencils. The children learn the importance of recycling and saving trees through this activity. Principal Mrs. Anu Kumar feels passionately about this initiative taken up by Ms Anju Gupta and whole heartedly motivates and encourages students to participate in this value based activity. Stepping Stones family intends to promote the value system; the idea that recycling is crucial and even the smallest step can have significant benefits for the environment.
