‘Smile’ from Subros Ltd wins the 31st
Quality Circle CII Chandigarh Preliminary Competition

Chandigarh:
‘Smile’ Quality Circle team of Subros Ltd was adjudged the
winner at the 31st Quality Circle Preliminary Competition 2018 organised by CII
Chandigarh Council here today. The quality circle team
named ‘Pragati’ of Tata Motors Ltd won the second position followed
by ‘Achiever’ team of Denso India Pvt Ltd at the third spot. ‘Quality Circles:
Prayas, Neenv and Torque from Honda Motorcycle & Scooters India Ltd
Tapukara, Bharat Electronics Limited Ghaziabad and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd
(Swaraj Division) respectively were also awarded with Consolation
prizes. The three winning teams will now participate in the Regional
Final as a pre-runner to the National Competition.
Ms Radhika Singh, Director, Industries, Chandigarh
Administration, gave away the prizes to the winners. Addressing
participants, she said, acquiring skills was a must to succeed in any field of
work. One must keep learning and upgrading his or her skillset, she added. 22
Quality Circle teams from companies like Bharat Electronics Limited, Denso
India Pvt Ltd; Federal Mogul Goetze India Ltd; Gabriel India Limited; Glenmark
Pharmaceuticals Limited; Honda Cars India Ltd; Honda Motorcycle & Scooters
India Ltd; Jakson Engineers; Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (Swaraj Division); Sandhar
Technologies Limited; Subros Ltd; Tata Motors Ltd; and Vardhman Textiles
Ltd took part in the contest and made presentations on the projects handled by
them at their work place. The assessment of the presentations was done on the
basis of different aspects of the Quality Circle activity like problem
selection, analysis, solution, presentation, etc.
