TIMES 150th RANK IN HIGHER EDUCATION

University (PU), Chandigarh has been Ranked 150 in the 2019 Times Higher
Education (THE) Emerging Economies University Rankings released today at 17:01
GMT at London by the THE.PU has been grouped in 601-800 World Rankings. PU is
7th after SavitribaiPhule Pune University, Tezpur University, University of
Delhi, Jadavpur University, Banaras Hindu University and Amrita
Vishwa Vidyapeetham. PU Vice Chancellor Prof Raj Kumar has expressed satisfaction
that despite various challenges, the University is a leading education
institution in india in the THE world rankings. He has congratulated the
students, research scholars, teachers and staff for achieving this.He said that
all necessary steps are being taken to ensure improvement in research and
increase industry partnership in order to improve rankings.
