Today as a part of 30th National
Road Safety Week-2019 being observed from 4th to 10th Feb 2019 with a theme “Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha” following programme
held in Chandigarh on 9.2.2019..2nd batch “Jeevan Rakshak” Training programme for Training to first
responders to rescue victims of road accidents and violence was held at Recruit
Training Centre, Hall, Police Lines, Sector-26, Chandigarh by the Save Life
Foundation based at New Delhi. Senior Manager Training Zoya Nagpal and trainer
Ms Sarika Rathour of Save Life Foundation imparted training to 40 police
officials 20 from traffic staff and 20 from PCR staff. Save Life Foundation
will specially focus on training- (1) To recognize an emergency (2) First
Contact with the victim (3) Scene Safety (4) Opening an airway(5)
CPR-Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (6)
Immobilization (7) Controlling bleeding (8) Special Scenarios – Bomb Blast,
Choking, Electrocution and Heart Attack. Chandigarh
Traffic Police organized a workshop on road safety awareness for Auto Rickshaw Drivers at Rally Ground, Sector-25, Chandigarh, in
which about 218 Auto Rickshaw drivers participated in the workshop. During
workshop printed road safety material distributed to the participants. Chandigarh
Traffic Police along with Anand
Sales (India) and Pioneer Toyota group organized a drive to affixing of
reflective tape on Cycles, Rickshaws/Rehri and helmet at Poultry farm chowk.
During drive about 1000 reflectors affixed and 300 safety reflective jackets
distributed to the cyclists and Rickshaw/Rehri pullers and they also awared
about the road safety and use of cycle tracks. Sh Shashank Anand IPS,
SSP/Traffic & Security, Sh. Satbir Singh Anand, Director Anand Sales (India), Sh Neeraj
Goyal, Vice President After Sales Pioneer Toyota group and Sh Jaswinder Singh
DSP/Traffic were present on this occasion.
