MOOSAWI HAS VISITED THE CITY BEAUTIFUL

The
Director General, The National Musuem, Sultante of Oman, Sh. Jamal al- Moosawi
has visited the City Beautiful- The Chandigarh today to visit all the tourist
places. He visited Le-Corbusier Center, Pierre Jeanerette Museum, Arts College,
Govt. Museum & Art Gallery, Rock Garden and Capitol Complex- The UNESCO
World Heritage Site. Ms. Nalini Singhal, Regional Director ICCR (Ministry of
Extrnal Affairs, GoI) was assigned duty to liason with the Chandigarh
Administration for the said visit. All the arrangements for the visit of the
Director General, Oman was made by the Department of Tourism,
Chandigarh Administration. Sh. Rakesh Popli, PCS Director Tourism,
Chandigarh welcomed the Director General, Oman at Capitol Complex. They have
detailed discussion on the City, its tourists arrival, employment etc. After
discussion, the Director General, Oman desired that the Chandigarh
Tourism may showcase the exhibition on the City and Le-Corbuiser at Oman. The
Director Tourism, Chandigarh asked the Director General, Oman to send a formal
proposal for consideration by the Administration. Both of them discussed for
the cultural exchange of the two countries. Director General, Oman
thanked the Department of Tourism, Chandigarh Administration for the
arrangements and hospitality during his visit in the City Beautiful. Tomorrow
the Director Genral, Oman will proceed for Mumbai for his next assignment.
