CSIO & C-DAC pool in Synergy towards Atmanirbhar Bharat

CSIO is a premier R&D organization engaged in undertaking research, design and development of intelligent scientific & industrial instruments in the area of Agrimonies, Medical Devices, Optics, Photonics, Public Safety, Computational Instrumentation, Calibration and Certification. Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, Mohali (C-DAC, Mohali) is a Scientific Society of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, with a primary mandate to promote high end R&D and is engaged in the area of Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, IOT, Health Care, Agri Electronics and Automation. Both CSIO and C-DAC, Mohali are working with potentially complementary methodologies. Both the Institutes have agreed today, the 12th day of January 2021 to enter into a scientific collaborative understanding for Sharing of expertise, domain knowledge and available facilities in selected and advanced thrust areas of Agriculture and Health sector, especially related to Technologies and solutions involved in the area. This will lead to cooperation among working groups on research problems related to scientific instrumentation and systems for above mentioned areas and technologies It will also promote interaction among the scientists and research scholars of both the organizations by exchange visits and/or organizing brainstorming sessions to identify and pursue research programs in emerging thrust areas. In the memory of Dr. R. S. Khandpur, the Founder Director of CDAC, Mohali and former head of Medical Instruments Division CSIO, it is proposed to organize joint “Khandpur memorial lecture” to be conducted annually by C-DAC, Mohali and CSIO alternatively by a committee named “Khandpur Memorial Committee” of scientists from C-DAC, Mohali and CSIO for this purpose. The MOU was signed by Prof. S Anantha Ramakrishna, Director CSIO, on behalf of Central Scientific Instruments Organization and Dr. P K Khosla, Executive Director C-DAC, on behalf of Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, Mohali. I will be grateful if you give coverage to it .
